Edited: change give to sell.

Hell naw, give the opposing fans about 2,500 seats as far away from the field as you can get them.

Yeah but have no “far away” seats there’s literally not a single bad seat in terms of view right now.

For the away fans they should build some terrible/slightly dangerous seats on top of the south endzone and put all the away fans there kind of like how Arkansas does in one of their endzones.

Neyland Stadium is the only stadium I’ve been to where I felt like if I tripped I was going to die. They stuck us at the very top of the stadium

Yes. I agree. That upper deck feels more like you are climbing a ladder than steps.

Holy shite. I never knew that the Arkansas upper deck just had some cheap high school bleachers. You can even see right through them.

Yes but we should have the same option for visitors, especially certain fanbases.

I’ve always thought DWS was the most underrated stadium in the SEC from my many road trips. Modern, tons of premium seating, cohesive architecture, keeps noise in really well too. I’ve been to Little Rock too and while a dump it’s shockingly loud as frick (was also their loaded 2006 DMac team). Was in the 9th grade and my cousin and I were shocked how many grown men talked shite to us

70-80 is a nice sweet spot. LSU and Alabama’s upper decks are hilariously high, not sure why anyone would bother paying to go for that view unless you’re given free tickets.

They’ve come a long way from the west side men’s bathrooms having you literally piss on a tile wall instead of urinals or the old troughs

The biggest problem with our stadium is the old style low grade rise making it look a lot smaller than it actually is. We have the best food and alcohol selection in the entire conference and we have plenty of restrooms. Our sound system is great as well as our display boards. We just need the capacity. We really need more general seating as the big games are impossible to get a ticket to. Hell, if we could get the Grovers to go to the stadium, we would need 20k more seats. But the Grovers will never do that.

Since I moved I haven’t been to Ole Miss since 2017, should make a trip sometime and see the changes. Hell I hardly make it back for LSU but O and Kelly really sucked the life out of the program for years.

DWS is also Don W Reynolds Razorback stadium, not Davis Wade. just realized how that could be read. I have been to state’s facilities recently after hunting and they’re much nicer than I anticipated

Bjork really screwed up our stadium when he diverted funding from the NEZ and we ended up with what we ended up with. Remember what was being sold to the donors early in 2011 at the start of the campaign?

(The only image I could find from the original concept)

The NEZ's entrance was supposed to be similar to the SEZ and featured club seating, a pavilion area, and a Ole Miss Hall of Fame in it.

Instead, money was diverted to The Pavilion and we ended up with the half assed mess that's there now.

Honestly, it's really an eyesore and the way it's been piecemealed together just makes it even more expensive to actually fix and make it cohesive. The last concepts I saw with razing an entire side and rebuilding it was really nice - but you're still stuck with a stadium that has 4 non-matching parts to it.

I don't know what the answer is. Maybe just have the facade on the outside match by bricking it up and replace the clubhouses and pressboxes to match and enclose the top to trap the sound in.... That would look better, but no clue if the structure would allow that or not.

Why can't we just have a giant Roomba like the Raiders?

That was just phase 1. Phase two was making the East side match the West and eventually having the entire stadium match that West rendering. That would have been nice.

Kinda ironic that phase 1 didn't happen because Lane said not to do it, and then he used the stadium size to throw darts at the University.

Pretty simple, Lane knew he wouldn't be here long enough to see the benefits of a bigger stadium, a bigger NIL budget could help him get to the next job.

It wasn’t a bad move though. He was 100% right in wanting to divert those funds. Yea it was for his benefit but it led to us having our best 5-6 year run since the 50’s and 60’s

The stadium means frick all anymore. If you pay the players, they will come
