Yes, the season is basically a wash now, but RebelExpress38 made a good point. Might as well see what he's got before we lose him.

He can play in four games and still maintain a redshirt.

I agree redshirt him, don’t play him against New Mexico State or whoever. But play him the other games to see what he’s got. If he’s the answer and we had him on the sideline the whole time we will look like fools. None of the other QBs have justified leaving him on the bench when they are all freshmen.

Oh okay, nice. Thanks for the info

It won’t matter as Tisdale is transferring

He's eligible to start immediately next year, right? I fully expect him to blow up somewhere.
Here's a HC suggestion that I surprisingly haven't seen floated anywhere. Indiana's, Tom Allen. Familiarity with the program, etc. He's taken over and made the Hoosiers a pretty competitive B10 team. Historically one of toughest jobs in the country and has them bowl eligible after 8 games in only his third year. He was by far the best assistant Hugh Freeze ever had in Oxford and the defense took a major step back after he left town.

I wouldn't be opposed to that. Everyone in Bloomington loves him.

His name was tossed around this board several times when Freeze shite the bed. I'd be on board, too.
Also, can't blame Tisdale. No big surprise for sure.

I recall, but it seems like I haven't seen him mentioned at all this year. Would be a great hire, IMO

The question is can he recruit or get the right guys to recruit to the level needed to win here.

He had the 36th ranked class last year and looked to keep some of the bigger in-state names in Indiana. That looks to be, by far, the best class in the history of the program. If you follow college football in the slightest, you'll realize just how good that is to bring that haul to Bloomington. It's an awful job.

Shiiiiiit I’m scared we are going to regret losing him

Isn’t he from Indiana? Tough to pull him from home

He is, but he's making $1.8mm a year.

Probably a lot of things to consider. Does he have young children in school, are his parents still living and if so where do they live and, most importantly, if he’s married what does his ol’ lady want and where are her parents?

Tom Allen should be considered, but we aren't firing Luke. He and the coordinators have large buyouts (thanks Djork) and we don't even have an AD. When we get one, it will not be an up and coming independent thinker; it will be a yes man. State on the other hand did not throw money at Moorhead and it did not affect their recruiting (the reason always given for overpaying a coach). They only have to pay him 2M to go away. They will be set if Rutgers pays that and "steals" him away.

The guys on the Viagra Board are convinced it's $9M if they fire him.
