I've always said play calling HCs don't work. He should absolutely be involved with the defense, but not the day-to-day play caller. HCs have too much on their plate to call one side of the ball effectively

Yeah we have a lot of talent on defense but it’s clear Pete has absolutely zero time or ability to game plan appropriately. He needs a DC

Maybe I’m just delusional but I’m not overly worried about the loss today.
Like yes, the defense has to get better but that was literally one of if not the best offenses in the country. Coming off an emotional win, without Lacy and a lot of injuries.

This was a team we expected to make the playoffs. We now have to beat Texas on the road or uga at home for that to happen. That also doesn't take into account Oklahoma, state, Missouri and Auburn could all beat us with this shite defense. Honestly, if we didn't have Trinidad would anyone feel confident this team wins 7 games?

But also, that is likely the best offense we will face this year and they are possibly the best offense in the country. We will be ok.

This defense has shown nothing in 4 games that makes me think we have the talent, desire or coaching to stop and above average offense. Rewatch the Louisville and lsu games and watch how many plays those offenses missed that were easily there.

They ran wide zone about 50 times and shoved it straight up our arse. Faulkner is a really good OC, can pull out all kinds of misdirection and shot plays. He realized very early on he didn’t have to do any of that today
