We won. That’s the important thing and we didn’t look totally horrible after the first quarter.

Minus the drive that Simmons got hurt. The offensive line looks way better than last week

Simmons is going to learn from these games. Much better to learn these lessons in wins than losses.

I could see this team being a bit like ASU last year. Don't really look that good early in the year but get better and better as the year goes on to become a playoff contender. At least I hope

We were three plays away from this being a blowout win. Simmons two picks gave up 10 points and the miss field goal. I think the main points to take away is the Offensive line might be ok and Lacy is a legit NFL running back. If Simmons can improve this team can be better than last year.

At least we are actually playing our best running back.

Simmons got valuable road experience against a UK who has had an established HC for quite some time now. I see it as a good win where he rallied back from a bad start. And we got the W.

I think ever since I’ve been affiliated with OM since the mid 2000s that offensive line has always been an issue save a couple of seasons. I’m talking like an above average line across the board. Sure we’ve had some elite guys in that span, but man it always just seems like our weak link. At least they’re not made of porcelain anymore (pre-Lane) it would seem.

I detested the drive where we ran three plays in a row with about 6 mins left in the 4th.

A win is a win. Some guys established roles.. Harrison, Lacy, Alexander. Happy to see Zxavian Harris has stayed on a good path after off the field issues a while back. Dude is a physical freak of nature - would be a waste of god given talent.

I’m happy with it. Stoops is one scrappy mother against us good grief.

Win today bring Lane to 2-4 in SEC openers at Ole Miss...

On to Arkansas, who appear to be improved from last year

Arkansas beat the shite out of their first opponents last year too. They always have under Pittman. I’m honestly not too worried about them

I’m extremely worried about Arkansas and expect a nail biter as it should be.

Agreed. I feel the same way about the Arkansas game as I did about Kentucky. I got no resolution today.

Look. I get it. I rushed the field in 2012. But… that?

If we had the seasons they just went through, we would have rushed the field too.

Were there things that were concerning? Yes

What matters is we won. That's it. We manned up against a team that is notorious for playing close ones at home. We showed some resilience today. We move on and hopefully get better. We are 2-0. I'm happy.

We kind of did in 2012 when we beat them in the Egg Bowl. Still ashamed I partook in that
