Doesn't help that you can be talking shite and hyping up a player today only for him to announce he's sitting out and transferring tomorrow.

4* LB Anthony Davis committed. From GA. Chose us over Michigan, Bama, and Auburn

I don’t know if it’s the stability in coaching, the collective, Pete or what but we have picked it up a good bit in high school recruiting the last 2 years.

Last linebacker we got from Grayson was Denzel. Hopefully he performs at the same level as freshman Denzel and not drugged out Denzel

109% Pete since it's really only our defensive recruiting that has exploded. HS offense recruiting seems to still be lagging

Great schemes on both sides of the ball. Consistent winning seasons and being competitive in big games. Uniforms. All pointing in the right direction for once.

I see where we got the 4 star lb out of Georgia but lost the legacy Geralds kid. I suppose that’s a wash. I do have to wonder what the hell went down though when you lose a legacy to LSU of all people.

From an outside perspective I get the feeling Ole Miss has a larger NIL budget for the portal than LSU and vice versa for high school. LSU going neck and neck with Oregon and Texas on the trail right now.

So all about the money. I reckon I’m not surprised. We have created quite the monster.

I’m so exhausted seeing high school kids thinking they’re worth millions of dollars. I still love and support LSU, family still has tickets, but I am happy to live in the PNW with other things to focus on.

It’s a dice roll but the market values the top players at that level. Thats how you define worth in all aspects concerning monetary exchange. Losing out on Geralds sucks. Always a chance he finds his way to Oxford through the portal later, or maybe some more money comes in before signing day.

Portal players earned the value they get. Highly rated freshmen out of high school overwhelmingly do not live up to the hype.

Most families have been priced out of being able to attend P4 football games so the love isn't there. Fandom isn't there at all for this generation. They played football and watched the NFL on TV or chose to play video games instead. They are going to chase the money.

This is the biggest issue. $5-7k plus for an out of town family of 4 to attend a home game. Just stupid. Hotel 2+ night. Flight. Food. Tickets. Donation. Etc

is Tristen Keys flippable, or are we all the way out on him?

Tennessee feels confident in Keys but the few real and legitimate insiders on the LSU side are saying there are arrangements in place a lot of writers are unaware of that’s going to keep LSU in a great spot. Bolden and Donovan Tate give us a nice foot in the state to be blunt. If LSU misses the playoffs again I think all bets are off and he flips. Money is important but the kids still want to win.

LSU feels really good about Jase Matthews too but Auburn is apparently desperate. I get the feeling LSU is focusing more on the Southeast after Texas came in and stole some our best Texas commits at the last second.

And yet Kiffin will talk shite to the fans when they don’t drive in from Dallas or Nashville or the coast for the citadel game .

He should.

We’ve kinda fricked ourselves with only having like three hotels in Oxford.

Cost to rent a house or condo is absurd.

I've said it before but the owners of these AirBnbs, hotels, and the bars/restaurants in town should be the biggest NIL contributors we have. People might be fine paying $700/night with a 3 night minimum to watch a top 20 Ole Miss team compete, we start to suck and people will spend that money elsewhere.

Rental costs in Oxford should start stabilizing with all of the new condos and apartment buildings they're putting up over on Ed Perry and off of Sisk.
