Absolutely

Not to mention there’s a better than average chance he would have been a Troy or South Alabama star had Lane not taken him to Oxford.

Louisville transfer QB Pierce Clarkson has signed with Ole Miss, @PeteNakos_ reports
RS Fr (will be a RS Sophomore next season). 4* coming out of HS. Basically no college stats (3-4 for 11 yards in 1 game this year).

Nice pickup - we certainly need some depth in that spot.

Corner from WSU just committed LINK

Defensive backfield is going to be a big question mark. It was a weak spot this year and I can't imagine what it would have been without Amos. We don't have an Amos for next year

We keep having to repeat this but it keeps getting ignored. If we kept Judkins, we have a more talented RB. But if we kept Judkins, it could have completely unraveled the entire team's chemistry.
Honestly, the biggest whatif for me isn't if Judkins stayed. It is, rather, what if Bentley played in all the games?

That pisses me off infinitely more than the whole Judkins ordeal.

The kid from WSU started there last year and was highly ranked by PFF. I think we are also in the top 2/3 for a CB from Washington who's ranked as the #2 CB in the portal.

I think that was almost exclusively in the slot. Interesting to see how he will transition to the outside against better receivers.

I read we are among a few schools interested in Ewers.. meh. I want to see Simmons behind the wheel. Thoughts?

I’m conflicted. If the coaches want him, that means they aren’t as confident in Simmons as the fanbase is.

Didn't he just declare?

The man could not have performed any better in the criminally limited time he was given this past year. Im bewildered by his lack of PT in garbage time and in the bowl game. Right up there with the Bentley situation as far as I'm concerned.

The more they played him the higher his NIL price would be. I don’t agree with it, but I also understand the game within the game

You have to think that we would have at least won against Kentucky and it would have probably also won the Florida game.

Man, could this really be where we are these days? You don't give your current backup QB and future starter invaluable playing time because you don't want to have to rerecruit him and also get into a bidding war against others? Amazing if true.

The players brought it on themselves. It’s a smart move by the staff to not drive up his price, especially since it had already gone up a decent amount after that Georgia drive

The coaching staff is very high on Simmons and have known since the spring that he was starting 2025. They have been adamant since he’s been on campus that he has the most arm talent on the team. I know they wanted to add depth at the QB position but they aren’t spending the money on a potential back up to Simmons. I think they learned from their mistake with Spencer Sanders two years ago.
