Think we'll slot in around 16-18. A win over UGA could get us looking at top 12.

I hated it for Parrish yesterday. Not his fault the staff hasn’t played Bentley or somebody else more. Parrish has played hard and does all he can with that frame. That said, I don’t think losing him will make much difference. He seemed to be slowed already and just about anybody we’ve got can rush for 30 yards in a game with the lack of run blocking we’ve seen in SEC play.

Even when Parrish went out, Bentley still didn't get most carries. Something is obviously going on behind the scenes with him.

The one thing that is so plain to see and we keep rolling him out there is McIntyre at center. We will never have a decent rushing attack as long as he is center and we will constantly loose yards in short yardage unless JJ is in because he gets blown up every single time.

Coaches Poll was just released - we are #12. I spot ahead of LSU.
We would miss out on playoffs though as #14 Boise would jump us as a conference champ for the 12 seed

Not sure that is true. Historically the CFP focuses on the strength of schedule and FPI. So these 1 loss Big12 and ACC teams will likely be outside looking in (ie BYU)
Regardless, next week will be a pre-CFP game.

The five highest-ranked conference champions are automatically selected for the CFP. Then it's the remaining seven highest-ranked teams that get selected.

BYU is undefeated. But Iowa State’s loss means the Big 12 is a one bid league

I expect the committee will have us 14-16, but if we win out our playoff odds are > 80%.
Have to root against a 1 loss BYU non champion, 1 loss Miami non champion, 1 loss UT non champion, Boise and Army both winning out, Bama winning out, and ND winning out. Good news is, Army and ND play so one of them should be eliminated.

Sorry I swapped up BYU and ISU in my head. Still BYU is a wasted CFP spot. They would be in the bottom quintile in the SEC.

As much as I would love to make the playoffs I just can’t worry about it. if we win out and it happens that’s great. if not, oh well

Results we should be rooting for include:
Tennessee loss to Georgia
Notre Dame loss to USC
SMU loss to anyone
Tennessee loss to Georgia
Notre Dame loss to USC
SMU loss to anyone

I had us 8-2 after the Georgia game….so all we have to do is beat them to get there. No problem, right?

I hate thinking about this but if we handled business against Kentucky and LSU we would basically just need to go 1-2 the last 3 games to make the playoff

Not to bring up another team’s coach but I think Freeze basically doesn’t give a frick about winning at Auburn at this point. He’s recruiting well because I think he’s just a natural at it and it’s where he feels most comfortable. But dude just looks absolutely miserable and done with that program. Even when we went 5-7 in 2016, we were still competing and beating top 10 teams on the road. He was energetic and enthusiastic. He hasn’t been that once since he got to Auburn. I think he will either resign or get fired within the next 12 months.
And no, I’m not advocating bringing him here if Lane leaves

I think the pressure from the Auburn boosters have really taken a toll on him.

What's worse is I think we're being unfairly penalized over those two losses. We lost both by 3 and the LSU one, we lead for practically the entire game on the road. A&M for example is looked at more favorably than us and they just got waxed on the road.

Auburn isn't the program that people think it is. They are always playing catch up with big brother in their own state. Even in the same county the vast majority of residents are Alabama fans. (My wifes family is from there and 2/3 are Bama fans.) They have been lucky to catch lightning in a bottle a few times but that was back when they could pay when others couldn't because of a very well organized bagman system. Now, everyone can pay players. They lost their advantage. Their boosters get in the way more than they help. It's what Alabama was before Saban came in and put the boosters in the back seat. Auburn is no longer a "Big 6" team. They were always the one on the very bottom of that group anyway. If we keep going how we are now and if people keep supporting our collective, we will easily continue to be a better program than they are. We have been the more successful program in the playoff era anyway.
