The coaching turnover is concerning

At what point do we start worrying that all these coaches are seeing something behind the scenes that is scaring them away?

If I see an article come up about Nix taking another job I'll know they're about to shut the program down.

The only thing I can think of is Kiffin is still flirting with other potential job openings. Which comes with the territory but damn man. At some point you have to just give it a rest until next year

Chris Low was saying he thinks Chris wanted to come back but then realized he didn't like having to deal all the BS that comes with coaching in college.

It's quite possible that he realized he just prefers working with grown men in the NFL as opposed to 19 and 20 year olds in college. At least he didn't wait until spring practice to change his mind.

This is a weird fricking back-and-forth move. A little embarrassing TBH.

I'll get over. It didn't effect recruiting. I can see getting cold feet and maybe something happened in Cleveland to make him change his mind. As for other coaches leaving, Durkin is no longer a co-defensive coordinator and Lebby is out from under Kiffin's wing. They are both logical career moves unlike Derek Mason. Now that is embarrassing.

And yet his defense this past season at WKU was very poor statistically. Odd.

Their offense was a lot like ours - very much quick strike meaning their defense was on the field a ton.

But yes, it is a bit concerning. Though I don't think he'll have play calling duties,

Khari Coleman entered the portal and could end up here. Would be a nice pickup with 3 yrs left.

He played DE at TCU but was expected to transition to LB under their new coaching staff. Wonder if he's transferring because he wants to stay at DE.

Is there a reason we think he'd transfer to us?

Their offense is nothing like ours. The run the real deal air raid. They threw 250+ more passes and ran the ball 200 less times than we did.

Coleman is another Jake Springer type. Hard hitter who is a bit too small to play LB, but is bigger than the average DB. I think Partridge can get a lot of use out of him.

Our defense has a lot of potential next season. That’s really weird to say, but we are pretty deep at every level.
