And would love it if Keith comes out publicly saying that Kiffin has 7 days to sign or we will consider the position open.

Y’all are insane, and need to relax.

Won't lie, State looks good. Not excited to see our secondary against these receivers.

How lucky are we that Arch chose Texas? Hope he improves but knowing our fanbase we would have been calling for dart to be benched after that loss to Kentucky and honestly dart might have left before that. With dart and now Chambliss, very fortunate kiffin wasn't in the situation to try and cater to our fans affinity for the manning family

I wouldn't read much into their game today. Texas is a really bad football team right now.

Lane would probably have Arch in Heisman contention.

Anyone know if there's any truth to kiffin saying I'm staying right here after the game? Surely someone will ask him about that

He allegedly went to the visitors section after the game and said “I’m fricking staying.” This is second hand from someone who was there.

Not sure what he’s saying but the hand gesture points that way. He could be saying “This is our stadium!”

Doesn't matter until pen meets paper.

Elko is a damn good coach, BTW. He's putting together a machine at A&M.

Getting off the mat and beating Oklahoma on the road is impressive especially with the bs swirling. Beat usc and let’s get healthy for Florida and State. Simmons needs to play a lot against citadel to get him back into playing shape. You never know when he will be needed and he was way too keyed up on the goal line.

Interesting quote from an Andy Staples (national On3 reporter) article this morning.

quote:

That’s important for a lot of reasons. Florida fired Billy Napier six days ago, and instantly, all eyes in Gainesville turned to Oxford. Kiffin is Florida’s first choice. That’s no secret.

In 2010, that would have been depressing news for Ole Miss fans. Back then, Florida’s ceiling was higher. Florida could pay more money than Ole Miss.

That isn’t the case in 2025. Ole Miss can win the SEC this year. Ole Miss will probably make the CFP this year. That means Ole Miss can compete for the national title this year.

That also means the ceiling at Ole Miss is a national title. The ceiling at Florida can only be identical. It can’t be higher.

Ole Miss is also in a financial position to match whatever another suitor will throw at Kiffin.

Yahoo or ESPN (I think) also had an article on how the timing isn’t in Florida’s favor taking into account the playoffs and the January transfer portal.

Yeah the new 2 week portal makes it really hard to hire a playoff coach now. Basically have to be ok with your players transferring out and being unable to replace them. Just absolutely punting on year 1 in that situation

Agree, but not because of this year. Last year was our national title roster. Just screwed up the coaching in a couple games. I’d say the ceiling this year is top 8 maybe semifinals if we get a lucky bounce.

But the point stands. Anything Kiffin can do at UF he can do here. So it just comes down to personal preference.
