McCready reported this morning that Keith has emerged as the leader for AD and that pretty much Luke is safe and will coach in 2020.

I just can't imagine why anyone can be ok with another year of Luke. It boggles my mind. Next year we will be competing with Arkansas, Tennessee, and possibly Auburn for coaches.

I hope it's a troll attempt but people have been saying this for a while. With the search committee members KC being chosen as AD wouldn't surprise me.

If anyone didn't expect this, especially after the chancellor search fiasco, then they are living on a different planet.

Yea this doesn't surprise me... I doubt we've even tried to search for an experienced candidate "emerged as the leader" meaning the only one

Is he that bad? I know his bio from the OM site, that’s it.
I’m assuming people are upset bc he’s an inside hire and we could’ve potentially done much better if we’d looked nationally?
Looks like he set some fundraising records and he was here during CWS and Sugar Bowl win so I’m hoping it’s not all doom and gloom.

Why do they still bother putting the word "search" in front of the committee name. Shouldn't it be "the committee of 12 minions" who will decide the fate of the next position appointment?

Meh. What does McCready know? Nothing. He doesn't get inside information. He just throws "mud" on the wall to see what sticks. This AD search is good for his little site thingy and he's trying to drum up business.

I just think it’s time for someone outside the university to come in and put some fresh eyes on everything. Keith wants the job but I think because of the Luke hire and chancellor hire (both not his fault) the fanbase will not be as receptive. Even though of the three hires Keith is by far the best of the 3.

Yeah, probably.
But simply judging by the last 2 high profile personnel hires for Ole Miss, it's Keith Carter. No one should expect any different, and that's fricking sad.
