Always love to see us pick up elite OL and DL, especially local guys.

Between him, Moss, and Berry we could sign 3 really high end 4* OGs. Given they are all projected to play OG in college I suspect we will end up losing out on one of them and only sign 2

We just processed a 3* OT to make room for Keefer, Berry, and Moss. Guess we'll see if we can get all 3 now

Cut throat arse business.

Berry is not projected as an OG, he is an OT.

National On3 guys have started flipping their predictions for Michell Turner from Alabama to us.
4* DL from Louisville, MS. #40 player nationally, #3 DL, #2 MS.
Would be a massive snag if Pete and Co can pull it off.

Alabama has been pathetic on the recruiting trail this cycle. For all the “Kiffin will bail on LSU for Alabama asap” trolling I’ve heard multiple times from legitimate guys Alabama’s NIL is well behind multiple SEC programs.
Fewer major donors and I would imagine the fan base is pretty jaded after the Saban run. I don’t get the impression Auburn’s bag is as big as it used to be either.

It’s still mid-June. You’re not wrong their class looks bad and I’m sure some fans are sweating a little but it’s so early. In the same manner a lot of Gator fans are pumped about our class currently being top 5, I am not getting excited because a lot can change fast in this NIL era. I remember in Napier’s second year we had a top 3-5 class for most of the season but then another 7 loss season led a lot of players to flip right before signing day.
Point is, I am not getting excited for any class (UGA has been slow too and I’d love to see them falter but they’ll probably pick up steam along with Bama down the stretch).

If tweet fails to load, click here. No consensus rating, but On3 and 247 both have him as a 89 3* (so highest rating a 3* can be).
LB out of GA who picked us over VT, GT, Kansas, and a couple other similar type schools.

Top 5 tackler in Georgia averaging 15 tackles per game. Highlights He has great vision and stopping power. He hits the running back’s hole better than the running back.

Yeah his film is fun to watch. I am by no means a film expert, but as you note it seems like he excels at filling gaps and making the tackle.
Not sure he is currently a true sideline to sideline LB though. Obvious once a kid gets into a SEC weight / conditioning program he'll develop more speed but right now seems like a downhill tackler who needs to get better at getting sideline to sideline and being a pass defender.

Also big week in general for recruiting for us.
4/5* Caden Moss, 4* Alvin Mosley, and 4* Mitchell Turner are all scheduled to announce this week / this weekend.
Caden Moss is deciding between us, Ohio State, LSU, and Oregon. Also took an OV to Tennessee but they seem to be behind the pack.
Alvin Mosley is from Houston, TX and is deciding between us, Texas, and Houston.
Mitchell Turner is deciding between us, State, Alabama, Texas, and LSU. Alabama was long considered the favorite to land him but sounds like we have a real shot at him now. A couple national guys have started predicting us to land him.

Not a new commit - just a current commit "shutting down his recruitment" following OVs to us, Texas, LSU, and Colorado.

I want Caden Moss so fricking bad

He should be in the boat.
Assuming we close perfectly, which we do have a legit shot at, we will sign the top 4 receipts in the state this cycle. And all are highly ranked legit 4* (I think Moss is even a 5* on one of the sites, but is a composite 4*).
And most importantly, it would be 2 on the OL and 2 on the DL. Getting HS kids in those positions is so important. And the fact that elite ones may stay home in MS just helps with them staying and developing v. Transferring away after their freshman year like so many out of state kids do who just took the biggest NIL offer.
