I don’t care if there is an OT board. I don’t read that one.

Who all is watching the Last Jedi tonight?

You're doing it wrong. It should be;

"List of SECRanters going to see Star Wars Tonight:

Me."

I'm curious to see more about the Han/Leia story and how they get past killing the wrong one.

Nerd board

Just kidding. I'm going to wait until I hear how much SJW BS is in it.

Watching literally almost anything > watching Star Wars > watching Star Trek > watching lord of the rings

I don’t see it for several more hours. Got a table and waiting on friends to show. I won’t check back in untok after the movie. I don’t trust this place with spoilers.

Have any of you guys read the fan theory that Jar Jar is a Sith Lord? It's a very solid theory, and if true, will totally redeem the prequel movies in the eyes of everyone. Would be the greatest movie reveal of all time

My theory after the last one is Leia was the Sith.

She’s the daughter of one of the last ones, and the mother of the new one.

My theory is that since the last one was the PC version (woman and black dude reprising Luke and Han's roles) is that just as Obiwan died, so must Luke in some plot similar to the first one, especially as they have already killed off Han in the last one.

My other theory is they filmed the old people early on for much of what they thought they would need for the 3 parts of this series much like they filmed all the Lord of the Rings movies so even tho Leia has shuffled the mortal coil in this life some money grubbing studio head already has scenes they can release in the last movie already in the can.

In a similar vein, any muppet character like Yoda can die and be reborn in future films. Too much value in Yoda merchandise to let that little pile of Latex ever not find a way into most Star Wars films.

This is all just guesses but Hollywood, especially now Disney owns this franchise will continue to follow old things because they worked instead of making new ideas that would actually encourage creativity and forward thinking. I know many on here are young and see a modern movie thinking it is new but most are remakes of movies that were remakes in the 50's or remakes from the 30's. If the folks at Disney had any balls, this would be the kind of spoiler you would see in the new movie.

Well sure. The plot to the last one was identical to the original 1977, and that wasn't a mistake.

The only surprise in "The Force Awakens" is that there wasn't a droid shaped like a candlestick singing "The Bear Necessities" or "Let It Go".
