new government study

Coke: La (6th) and and KY (7th) make the list
Meth: AR (1) and KY (4) and Missouri (9th) make the list
Heroin: KY (4th)
Fentanyl: KY (1st) and LA (10th) make the list

Missouri and Arkansas on the list once. Louisiana on the list twice. Kentucky on the list each and every time.

Damn Kentucky. What the hell, guys?

The lead Arkansas has in Meth is impressive. Their meth users are like the Alabama football program of the Meth world - just blowing away their competition over the last decade.

28.7%? That has to be a skewed sample. I don't doubt that were #1 but that seems fairly high

Please note that next door neighbor Ohio is top 10 in three of the lists. They’re also moving up fast in methamphetamine. Together, our states are at the epicenter of the drug epidemic in the country. While Kentucky has very high use of drugs, Ohio is leading in overdoses. They’re dropping like flies across the river.

Surprised coke is popular in Maine.

Would think Florida, Texas, Nevada would be more popular

Unfortunately Texas leads the way in terms of states responsible for allowing it into our country.

Kentucky is doing virtually nothing about drug abuse and gangs. It's getting to be a worse place to live all the time. There have been 5 shootings in Lexington in the last week alone.

5 shootings in a week in LEX? When I lived there, any shooting was headline news for days as a major event? And that wasn't all that long ago.

Where are these shootings happening?

Yes. At least a great description of the grip that drugs have on the eastern part of the state. Trump promised to bring the coal industry back but that hasn’t happened and the misery of the mountain people has deepened. Many of the addicted are migrating to Laurel County and Lexington, causing unprecedented crime waves in those areas.
