Most college campuses are safe, but outside it some places are brutal...I have never had issues in most cities I have lived in but the two racist towns I have ever been in are Stone Moutain Georgia and Inverness, Florida. The racism there was very, very open(the KKK was very powerful in both places).now no clue what it is like...but for damn sure when I lived there it was very bad. My best Friend was Jordan Ask**..he was black, and the amount of bullshite he had to go through was insane(Stone Mountain)no clue why they lived there, his parents were very intelligent, guessing by their house they made a ton to live there.

Agree . The gumps can claim Birmingham, Montgomery as well as Tuscaloosa as prime shitholes . My best day has been leaving all three at one or another time . Dreamland is a 10 on the overrated scale . It stunk in there of grease when I went and i turned around and left . Not one college in the usa other than the gumps has had their sororities publicized as blatant hypocrisy .

So it def has changed. Was insane..literally had to drive by a yard with a few white gnomes in the outfits hanging a black gnome...was very fricking insane. Glad it is better.

Each neighborhood is different. Some good, and yes, many bad. I have the financial means to live in Europe, Asia, and Aspen, but Baton Rouge is my home. LSU is my school. So be it.
