As soon as The Bomb was ready Harry Truman let the Japanese have it. If the weapon had been ready before then Hitler and Tojo would have both been nuked.

Don't believe that? Look at the pounding German and Japanese cities took..nothing was held back. The use of nukes would have saved thousands of US airmen who perished in the European Theater air war.

It would not have mattered if Bin Laden were in Tora Bora or not. The people financing backing and supplying Al Qaeda and others would have shut them off if they thought the US was no longer fighting with one hand tied behind it.

These aforementioned people are heads of state, wealthy sheiks and others working against us in the shadows. They, unlike the gullible masses, do not have a death wish. As long as they know there is no price to pay they will continue to back stab us. But if they know they will get taken out by Delta Force, a sniper, roadside bomb, Tomahawk through the window or 450 KT going off over their heads at 1000 ft, they will shut off the backing.

Eh you dont really need a nuke to do damage.

quote:

On the evening of February 13, 1945, a series of Allied firebombing raids begins against the German city of Dresden, reducing the “Florence of the Elbe” to rubble and flames, and killing as many as 135,000 people. It was the single most destructive bombing of the war—including Hiroshima and Nagasaki—and all the more horrendous because little, if anything, was accomplished strategically, since the Germans were already on the verge of surrender.

Everything you mentioned in the last paragraph except the final item is fine.

Um. I'm looking up my internal employee directory right now. No pipeline construction service managers anywhere.

If you aren't willing to fight with everything you have against those people, you cannot win. Animals understand and fear brute force, not talk or diplomacy or half hearted air strikes done for TV.

You can't nuke them today I agree, but right after 9-11 we could have done it, and brought them all to their knees. They can't fight Mr Kiloton or his bigger brother. But today we could still take out the background people that make all of this possible.

We don't have a thousand bombers to do that kind of damage conventionally any more.

Learning from history would mean that we had learned to stop meddling in the middle east. Every time the United States or European powers have gotten involved in the middle east, we've left it more fricked up than we found it.

We didn't start the war on terror. If we leave them alone over there, they will plan and eventually execute attacks over here, just like before. We are safest when we take the attack to them. This war is like an autoimmune disease, you can't end it, only treat it. It's been a fact of life since 9/11 and will be for as long as we live.

Really how did the kingdom of Saud become Saudi Arabia? How did the zionists get moved into Palestine. How did Iraq become Iraq. You know nothing. You could have never picked up a history book in your life but watched Lawrence of Arabia and been more educated than you are now.

The bottom line is this. The world is ran off two things lies and money. The U.S. Government had evidence of a possible attack. They did nothing they let it happen. Like I said earlier war is profitable for certain individuals. When bush and Cheney went to war they knocked down an entire city and had it rebuilt by there respected companies.

There's a lot of truth to this.

There was no terrorism before the Ottoman Empire was divided up among the European powers after World War I.

Iran was basically a benign, socialist/communist leaning state before the US decided to slide in and put our own puppet (The Shah) in charge... which lead to the takeover by radical Islamists.

If we (meaning the West - Europe and the United States) had just not fricked with the region, we probably wouldn't be dealing with the shite we deal with today.

So I assume you think that the Pirates of the Barbary Coast were just an early Coast Gurard and the Crusades just happened because Catholics were like "eff Muslims, let's go kill them" and not because of Muslim involvement in Europe.

Africa wouldn't be the way that it is today without Western colonization either. The Western world has really messed up things in the rest of the world.

Nope, it would be just as fricked up with vastly different borders. Ethiopia wasn't conquered by any nation until Italy in 1936. It was still just as much of a shithole in '36 as all of it's neighbors.
