Africa wouldn't be the way that it is today without Western colonization either. The Western world has really messed up things in the rest of the world.

You're right. They'd probably still be enslaving each other.

Not quite what I meant. Things like the Rwandan genocide were directly related to Western meddling... and then an unwillingness to intervene and clean up the mess that they created.

There's no doubt we've made it bad by sticking our nose in there, but that place was screwed from the get go.

An agreement between the Wahhabist sect and the Saud family back when they were a'conquering the other tents next to theirs.

When you say it like that, it sounds so dirty.

How did Iraq become Iraq.

3 Ottoman Empire provinces got lumped into a single Mandate by the British Empire. But I'm sure before the British came, the Shi'a and Sunni and Kurds didn't hate and kill each other. Cause ya'know, Ottomans weren't white, so they were the good guys.

Good movie that's relatively accurate, especially about the total incompetence of the rural tribes at running their own affairs.

Things like the Reconquista were directly related to Arab meddling in Spain.

I knew someone would find a way to blame the West..but if you use the same centuries old long term out look the Muslims do they have never stopped with the expansionist aggression dating back to pre Crusades times.

I'm late to the party. Sorry. Where do I sign up to put some smelly, uncivilized, goat-fricking, pederasts and their enablers in the dirt? Here or abroad. Doesn't matter. Time to get it on and quit fricking around.

The only reason they're enslaving each other NOW is because of the West. Don't you understand?!

That graph just can't be right because most AA in pro sports say they're slaves.

They are. Gilded cages man. I'm totally free sitting here in my cubicle with my boss watching the clock at the door, but those dudes with a 3 month work season? They're total slaves man. I'm glad I'm not them.

As long as they remember they earned that money on the backs of the disadvantaged water boys and asst personal trainers scraping by on $25,000 a year or less. And also took that money from the blue collar workers sitting in the stands paying $250 for nosebleed seats to watch them catch a ball for 60 minutes.

The average athlete doesn't make that, has little (if any) health coverage, minimal job security, and few "real world" skills for post athletic life.

The ones who complain while making bank are disingenuous, but it's not an easy row to hoe for most of them.
