Seven in the top 10 are SEC states. Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas, Alabama, South Carolina, Kentucky, and Tennessee.

Least fat SEC states are Florida, Missouri, and Georgia, and Texas...

Yeah, except they're not. People in those states just lie less about their weights than those in other regions.

Data from BRFSS suggest that the highest prevalence of obesity is in the East South Central Census division; however, direct measures suggest higher prevalence in the West North Central and East North Central Census divisions
