Greenville is quite the flat, sprawling shite hole, but they also have the original Doe’s, so that alone damn near saves them.

A few people mentioned Macon, GA....Wouldn't want to live there permanently, but I've been to much worse.
My sentiment, too.

Meh, Lubbock isn't that bad. And none of your Texas cities listed are as bad as Beaumont.
Or Midland, or Brownsville

Having gained west TX as part of my work territory in the past year, I really don’t mind Lubbock. It has a certain laid back charm to it
I’m not moving there or anything, but you could do far worse.

I can’t imagine why you’d say Rome. There are WAY worse towns in Georgia - many which have been named in this thread. As a matter of fact, I can say every GA city named in this thread is by far worse. I wouldn’t even say Rome is a bad place, period. Schools are good, scenery’s nice, two colleges, and good climate. Trust me, It’s nowhere neare the worse.

How has Birmingham not made the list? Horrible roads (hello 280) and some of the most corrupt politicians in the country.

Because Birmingham is awesome.

Midland
Midland is in some ways a shithole, but its sister city Odessa is worse. The region is full of oilfield trash, of both the wealthy and poor varieties.
Midland has an oddly impressive skyline for a city its size.

Both Port Arthur and Orange, TX are worse than any city in America. It's not even debatable.

I can’t think of a worse area in the country to be a single male than Midland/Odessa. People who live there make bank, so if you’re making 150K a year, congrats you’re a nobody over there.
I lived there for a few months, and any chick I checked out I felt guilty, because they were either high school chicks or married women. No single hot chicks of age live in Midland/Odessa, because they go fishing for husbands in Dallas, Austin, and Houston. There’s a reason why most loaded people who work there just fly in for the work week and fly out to Houston or Dallas on the weekend.

Or Midland,
That town is full of people who seem like they wanted to make more of their lives during High School and leave Midland for good....but didn't.

or Brownsville
That town isn't depressing. It's just dangerous...and poor. At least 1/4 of the town is drunk at all times.

A buddy of mine worked there. He said that Odessa was the richer town while Midland was the working class.
There's good money to be made there, but at the cost of your mental wellness. Any free time he had, he spent it at the gym or playing video games because the area was just flat out boring.
