re: Dan Rapaport v Riggs Barstool v Kevin van Valkenburg - which one is the worst?

Is the Shotgun Start and Fried Egg Podcasts worth listening to? I’ve tried a couple times, but their voices are just not pleasing to listen to.
NLU and Smylie’s tournament recaps are the only golf content I really listen to consistently, but I spend a lot of time in my truck so I’ve got room for more.

They’re all horrible.
Rapaport is a trust fund LA Jew. His parents have a whole arse compound on Bel Air CC or Riviera. It gives him a right to cosplay as a golf pundit or something.
Riggs is a total fraud. To have the access he has and still be totally lost on his takes is incredible.
KVV is just a white guilt ridden bitch. He is the only one of the three that can put out a legitimate piece of journalism when he puts that aside though.
I’m glad someone started this thread though. It needs to be discussed.

Open the driver’s door, get on your knees, and look above where your left foot normally rests. There’s three plug ins. Unplug the smallest one. It controls the auto start/stop and the trailer lights.

Hate it for him, but the guy has been a prescription drug addict for at least 15 years or so.
To clarify, hate it for him being addicted to pain killers. Not that he has gone to jail for it.

To somewhat respond to the OP, I believe minis are for people who never hit 3W from the deck and have holes where driver is not ideal for one reason or another.
That what it seems to me too. I’m thinking about trying one. I might hit 3 wood once a round from the fairway. But I can think of 5-6 holes where dropping the 3 wood with an easier to hit 13 degree mini off the tee will either 1. let me pull back a little to be in a position to hit a full wedge rather than having to finesse a wedge (a struggle right now for me), or 2. give me a little more length to get to full 8 or 9 irons where a 3 wood leaves you with a 6 or 7 iron, but a driver brings water into play or risks blowing it through the fairway on a dogleg.

I think I shot about a 130 the first time I played.
Read Ben Hogan’s Five Lessons book, ignore pins and aim for safety, you’ll shave strokes pretty quick on the way to breaking 100.

Exactly this. It takes some people a little longer, but it does eventually get squandered when there's not a plan in place.

I'll echo everything said.
If you've got screen time rules, leave em at the house.
Give her something to snack on during take off and descent.
Download the shows the night before or in the damn airport if you need to. 2 reasons. First, we made the mistake of downloading some stuff a few days in advance and we're getting settled in and everything is expired. Second, you want the downloads to be fresh on her mind. You don't want to be downloading Peppa Pig 10 days in advance and you're sitting on the taxiway and she's crashing out wanting Bluey.
Also, get there earlier than you would if it were just you. Let her have the whole airport experience, let her ride the tram if you've got time, eat at an airport restaurant, let her buy a neck pillow... whatever. Make her feel like she's doing something important, I guess is the way to put it. It wears my girl out and she's usually just ready to cuddle up and watch her show by the time we're in the air.

Yeah I get that. I should’ve noted, I wouldn’t participate, but it just doesn’t bother me as much as the more egregious shite that’s more direct towards the player.

I’ll be surprised if we see Rory before Augusta. I would think Scottie plays. He needs to go light up the mules for a weekend to get his swag back.

Chanting USA is fine. Shitting on the guy that’s not American, just because the American has taken the lead, is unacceptable.
Covid golfers get a lot of the blame, and I can’t really argue with that. Their influence is just beginning to outnumber the folks that understand and respect the etiquette of the golf.
Best way I can put it is there’s always been people listening to music, drinking, etc. while playing golf. That’s fine, just keep it to yourself. But it seems like there’s a lot more groups that are there to blast music and drink heavily with golf being the excuse to do it.
