Tiger showing up would have been less of a surprise

Wow, I didn’t realize the average OT’er approved of such trashiness. Sounds like most of you approve of it.

Context matters.

Is she a chain smoker (gross) or just a baddie needing to burn a couple a day(hot)?
Yeah I did the same thing and it told me the ball I was playing at the time was the proper ball.

I impulse paid for the 3 or 5 suggestions or whatever and my brother has a simulator. If I can ever remember to do it, I’m going to go hit on it and take notes and redo my readings and see what happens.

ETA: I just went back and looked and it had me at a 95% match for ProV1, 93% for Maxfli Tour, 90% for AVX, and a couple of Wilson balls were my other suggestions.

I was playing ProV1 at the time and am playing the Maxfli Tour right now.

You got me interested in getting more perfect stats now.

Oh and it’s ballnamic, not ballmatic.

I’ll catch it every couple years when it’s on one the movie channels.

It’s a fantastic movie. As far as white guilt goes, I feel sorry for Samuel Northup, but it’s not my job to clean up Edwin Epps’ mess 7 or 8 generations later.
That’s a real possibility. The amount of goodwill that Phil has squandered is unrivaled.

I mean… would. Probably an experience. She’s also slimmed down since the divorce judging by the instagram post she dropped 3 hours ago.

Alabama is actually very nice and has a much better economy than Louisiana and Mississippi. I'd say Louisiana and Mississippi are tied and Alabama is wayyyy better than both. I say this as a Louisianan.

I agree with this as a Mississippian.

Better economy, mountains, beaches, great golf throughout the state, etc. HWY 82 between Tuscaloosa and the MS line sucks dick though.
I’m not a well traveled airport expert, but Orlando feels almost like a mall in the 90’s with terrible shopping options now that I think back on my one trip in and out of there.

We have a 4 year old and like to make the airport apart of the vacation. Get there earlier than most, check out the shopping and dining, sit down and eat. We got to the terminal at MCO and were like uhhh well at least we’ve got McDonald’s.
Pebble and Pinehurst are the anchor sites getting tournaments every 5 years, and then they pepper in Oakmont, Merion, Riviera, Brookline, Shinnecock, Winged Foot etc. getting them every 8-15 years or so.

I think Pebble and Pinehurst get them more often because they’re not private, so USGA has a little more of a leash on everything.

Bethpage is getting a PGA at some point, but not on the Open schedule.

I agree about west coast golf. I thoroughly enjoy watching meaningful golf on up into the summer night.

The USGA screwed up by watering the greens between waves Thursday.

The weather delay screwed it up, but the USGA didn’t adjust.

They delayed for weather AND watered, making the course soft in the afternoon AND the wind laid down, as it does the late afternoon, making the course extremely gettable.

Hindsight obviously, but they shouldn’t have watered and let it firm up so the course overcome the wind laying down.

That said, half the field played the same draw as Wyndham… So while I really dislike him, I can’t hate him for hitting the shots required to do what he did late Thursday. About 30 other guys could have done the same thing.
I was reading something that said if you wanted to get back to Penn Station or Union Station by 9 pm, you had to be on the train leaving Shinnecock at 6ish, so you probably had to leave the course at 5?

The leaders teed off at 3:45 Saturday, so nobody was waiting around for them unless they were staying basically in the neighborhood.
LIV was like nah we’ll do 50, and that was when he went hard into limiting fields to get higher payouts per player.

For someone who has no background on the Clark hate can someone explain?

Sure.

So he was a mule on tour for like 10 years, started seeing a sports psychologist and using a retired putter. Found lightning in a bottle and won Quail Hollow and a US Open at LACC.

He immediately pivoted to thinking he was of the same level as the Rory’s, Scottie’s, Rahm’s, etc. of the world.

He had a false sense of self worth and was asking like 100 million to go to LIV.

When this didn’t work, he started trying to become this proponent more limited fields and higher purses on Tour… basically trying to shut the door behind him on his former mule brethren once he finally got some status.

His career basically went to shite for a couple years, culminating with him knocking holes in Oakmont lockers.

Since then, he shows very little remorse publicly, brushing it off as just an unfortunate incident, and the media kind of runs cover for him.

There’s plenty of other stuff going on there too, but that’s the general gist.

General arse hat with no self awareness.
I think somebody at E or -1 has to go nuclear and shoot 65 or 66 and Wyndham coming back to reality with the scrambling and firing 72 or 73 is within the realm of possibility, but also not likely.

Fleetwood and Keith Mitchell are streaky enough to go wild, and obviously Scottie can just bludgeon his way to a 65.
quote:

He has talked about this incident quite a bit. Watch his interviews. Heaven forbid you don’t mess up one time and can’t do better in your life and people keep holding that against you. I hope he shoots five under tomorrow.

The problem is he doesn’t really own it. He gets asked about it and just calls it an unfortunate incident and it’s painted as like “what happened to Wyndham at Oakmont” by the media for whatever reason.

No. What happened is you won LACC, and immediately got on your high horse and tried to 1. leave for LIV, but they wouldn’t pay your asking price and 2. tried to shut the door behind you once you got a little status on tour in regards to field size and purses. Then you went through a horrible stretch which culminated in you bashing in Oakmont lockers.

Own it, or frick off.

The crowd seems tiny.

Maybe Wyndham isn’t so bad with the way he’s shrinking the game this week.
I think Rory has an opportunity to get to World #1 if he wants to try, but I don’t think that’s his goal. Kind of a secondary benefit of what he’s trying to do (big game hunt), but the OWGR is a rolling two year avg. Scottie’s monster 2024 is about to start rolling out.

I wonder what it’d look like if Rory picked up a major, wins the Scottish or Irish Opens, and makes a run in the playoffs.

It would be hard though with how Scottie just backdoors his way into top 5’s and 10’s even when he plays like shite.
We need Higgs to get in the final pairing. Be kind of an Agent of Chaos to rattle Wyndham.

Other option is Rory. Wyndham is a notorious slicer. We get Rory bombing a couple by him, Wyndham’s ego will force him to start unleashing to hang and hopefully he’ll start ballooning a few into the hay.

I won the practice round tickets on my first try. It was a super wet spring and we were behind on planting corn, so being young and dumb, I quadrupled the price and stuck them on eBay. Took my dog out to shite, and them suckers were sold when I walked back in the house about 5 minutes later.

Hope they let that guy in. I assume I’m on the alleged black list, so we apply in my wife’s name now.
