Agreed and hats off to the defense today for holding a Pavia offense to 17 points.

Bernie Miklasz said in a pre-game podcast he didn't have much time to delve too deep into Beau Pribula stats but what he saw was alarming. His accuracy and catchable ball rate over the last few games is way down compared to early in the season.

Might be best to let Beau heal up for a few weeks or more if lingering injuries are affecting his play. That was a good TD drive by Zollers to tie the game.

Im sure Sidwar is a decent prospect. But you say he's a 3 star because he doesn't have top tier arm talent. So he's Brady Cook or Pribula. That was fine when Mizzou had lower expectations but how do we win the SEC without a QB with arm talent?

Just like we have stocked blue chip talent on our defense, we have to do the same at the most important position. It's undeniably obvious that Zollers was an immediate upgrade over Pribula in passing.

It's hard enough to figure out the QB position with all the 5 star talent that doesn't live up to expectations. Recruiting 3 stars with weaker arms just makes it harder. Especially considering that Moore doesn't seem to be a QB whisperer.

This seems like the way and agreed.

Um, gotta disagree here..Sidewar is a stud..he's really coming on...great elite arm...very decisive..we gotta a steal, and whoever is running Penn St recruiting now is in contact with him. Other schools are trying to flip him.. Has a strong chance to become a 4 star before signing day. He's a great prospect.

This season is down the tubes.

On the plus side, Zoellers will get some much-needed play time and will be ready to go for next season.

Odds are short but every game left is clearly winnable. The pass game imediately looked different with Zollers. Season is still there until we get a 3rd loss.

I'm looking at AP poll predictions and two of them still have us at 14.

Let's assume we're in the 15 range. Texas A&M is 3rd. If we beat them how high would we go? Top 10? Oklahoma has been over ranked and looks highly beatable. If we run the table, beating both, playoff consideration is absolutely on the table.

Well you say elite arm, the other guy says his arm is not top tier. Which is it?

Edit...I watched the tape. He doesn't have an elite arm. He's much closer to Pribula than Zollers. No zip on the ball at release, uses a high arc to get the ball downfield even to open receivers. Standard 3 star kid, nothing wrong with him, he will get an opportunity to play, but not an elite arm.

Why isn't Drinkpiss chewing on Pinkels ear about developing quarterbacks

I feel like they are two very different philosophies.

Pinkel recruited an acceptable stable of QBs but wasn't really developing a QB. And in all honesty, no one really does. There is actually not a lot of time spent with players in the off season. This is why recruiting QBs on the blue chip level is so important. These kids need to come in with the skills. Developing a QB risks them transferring to a bigger program just when you need them.

Doesn't seem like 2026 produced alot of blue chip QB talent. Gonna be hard to portal in a top QB unless Zollers looks bad the rest of the season.

A&M feels like a big challenge. OK feels more doable every week.

That said not one game left on the schedule feels like a sure win either.

Count me in the camp that feels our chances are better now that Zollers is QB.

I tried to give Pribula the benefit of the doubt against Bama and Auburn. Elite athletes on the defense. Great defense at Auburn period.

But he looked just as lost and confused on too many plays against Vandy. And that D is not on the same level. He is just in over his head against SEC-level defenses.

Zollers just needs to execute the offense. With our D, a functional offense still gives us a chance for the playoffs.

If Zollers arm gets those safeties out of the box and slows the DL a bit, then we get Hardy back on track.

Does any one have any real confidence that Moore and Gleeson are gong to put a competent product on the field vs aTm? Arkansas hung plenty of points on Elko's defense but I don't think that's the game Moore will call. They will waste another first half with bootlegs to Norfleet, provided he isnt hurt again, and running OZ into one of the most aggressive fronts in CFB.

The defense will keep it close and give the offense plenty of chances score but I have zero faith in the offensive playcalling. The OC and QB coach have collectively neutered one of the better skill groups in the league. The defense deserves better because they are flat out getting it done.

That’s where I am.

We’re averaging around 22 points in SEC play. I don’t think we hit 22 points agains A&M and that won’t be good enough to win it.

The Texas A&M game will be telling us about the state of the locker room with Drink's name being floated for all the big name jobs. It's for sure a distraction. I think Drink's trying to go.

I know a lot of people want to point at the line but the overall protection got better once Beau left the game. Zollers stood in amd delivered at least 7 throws that Beau would not have attempted because he drops his eyes after 2 seconds in the pocket. aTm isnt afraid to expose their corners but you have to be willing to stand in and make the throws. Its a lot to put on a freshman but at home vs a defense that that doesn't make many plays on the ball seems like a good opportunity. Moore will probably waste it.

I think there's still a very good chance that Drinks reactions plus the odds moving up at Florida could still be a play to get a bigger contract here...

Just a feeling, maybe I watch too much On3 or Crain and Company on Youtube but his name is being brought up more than it should.
