I hope your confidence turns out to be well founded.

Drink's OC choice shows he does not plan on changing philosophy much, or at all.
We have to upgrade the lines to have any chance at breaking out of the mid-tier "good team" group.

Yes, we did not go with an "innovative" G5 guy and hope for the best. It's good we did not have to take that swing.
Moore looked good at San Jose St. or wherever he came from. Had a good QB and looked "innovative". Gator fans would likely tell a similar story about the coach they just canned this season.
All that "innovative" stuff that works in the G5 conferences and Big 12 often does not work so well against SEC-level defenses. And what the coach does then, when SEC defenses shut down what you want to do, determines what kind of coach you have.
Moore did not have answers.

Since Drink went boring with his OC hire to keep, we need an exceptional line. So yes, biggest investments need to go there to put out an even better line than we had this year.
Still disappointed we did not have more on the second string to put better center play out against our biggest opponents.

Some of his interceptions would lead one to question whether he was keeping his eyes downfield when throwing from the pocket.
Wish we could find out which transfers are chasing $ and which were told they are not looking at the playing time they want next year.

Isn't this a TV show?
Yes, and from what I understand - nothing happens in it.
Just like MU's passing game when Pribula was behind center.
MU fans everywhere are rejoicing today.

re: Missouri- was Woody Widenhofer considered the worst coach in school history? I see

No he did not. Warren Powers did. Had a couple decent seasons with that talent and then the slow drain started.
If I remember correctly, Powers was a Nubber guy who tried to replicate the Nubber way without being able to recruit/pay like the Nubbers.
Things were trending badly with lots of holes by the time he was shown the door.
I wonder if this suggests their is no real news on a possible new OC to share with the players.
Manning had too many drops, but he was a good blocker and you would like to think he would keep developing his receiving game to have a shot at the pros.
With this offense's limitations brought on by the incompetence at QB and OC, there were too few targets for all the WRs. Would have been too few targets for 2-3 WRs, forget about a whole room.

Their new Wide Receivers coach. Wish him the best. One of the easiest Tigers to cheer for.

And it won't be against SEC-level defenses that froze him like a deer in the headlights

Be still my beating heart.
Don't tease us if that is not real!!!!
Speaks volumes about the bowl game that you guys are discussing golf.
Did I hear right in the ACC championship that neither team had beaten a ranked team??? The ACC was pure dung this season, outside of Miami.

Yeah, lots of stubborness on playing time decisions this year on offense. QB, center, tight end.

This question is getting more credibility by the day. Lot of smoke that Penn St. pulled their offer after the OU loss.
Penn St. just got turned down by another coach (BYU).
What is that, the 10th target that turned them down? I have heard some talking heads claim the number is up into the 20s. These coaches are obviously thinking "No thanks, I don't want a "NC or bust every year" job, especially in a conference with Ohio St.
With that kind of failure as signing day kept getting closer, I doubt a school backed away from an established coach that has shown SEC success.
Maybe they have just given up on signing day. I doubt it.
Josh Pate on Penn St. failure
Make you think the Drink to Penn St. was just smoke and mirrors. Wonder if it all came from Drink's agent?

Yeah. Feels like Franklin took them to their ceiling and they did not want to admit that. Firing Franklin was an odd and ill-advised solution.
Feels like Blood has been here for 7 years. Did he come in with the same freshman class as Pavia??? :)
The playing time decisions on offense this year have been concerning. At multiple positions
He has built a foundation.
We have talent and depth like no team in my lifetime. He did not do enough with that talent and depth this year.
That foundation gave him the extension.
If he continues to bring in the talent and depth, improves the offensive coaching, improves the special teams coaching, and starts taking the next steps to becoming a top level team, he will stay.
If he is stubborn and does not change any of the problems that held this year's team back, he will be let go in a couple of seasons.

Wherever you are playing, I wish you luck as long as it is not Columbia, MO.
