"In Kansas, the most-iconic dish pairing is a bowl of chili with a homemade cinnamon roll. Though a seemingly unlikely combo, chili and cinnamon rolls pop up on menus throughout the state, including at public schools and local fundraising dinners. The tradition started more than 30 years ago when the U.S. Department of Agriculture gave large quantities of beans to school cafeterias, where they were turned into chili. To get the kids to eat the chili, they paired it with cinnamon rolls. Hanover Pancake House in Topeka serves both chili and cinnamon rolls. Ask for them to be served together."
I've never tried this, it popped up as a Nebraska/Kansas/Iowa midwest deal . Anyone ?

It fricking sucks.
I asked a bartender what to order at a bar in Lincoln and he told me that.
Never again. Garbage meal.
Pretty sure it was LeadBelly in the Haymarket.

Very.
Lazlos is dependable.
The Oven is ok (but Indian isn’t my jam).
Nothing spectacular given it’s a college town.

Bass, It's Nebraska, not exactly a cosmopolitan mecca. Ever since the immigrants aged out in downtown Omaha, you can't really get food that stands out. My son chefs at supposedly the finest restaurant in Omaha, and I find that place boring. It's sad.

Mahogany? If not which one? My Pop is always looking for a place he can brag about at Liar's Club.

Grew up in MO, moved to Wichita at 26 and lived there for 16 years. Never heard of chili/cinnamon rolls together.
Real chili doesn't have beans.

Grew up eating this but never with the cinnamon roll in the chili and yes I grew up in Missouri. It was an almost weekly school meal and have fond memories of it.

Be safe if you're going to the game tonight. Travel in pairs and don't let those frickers follow you into a bathroom stall.

Apparently the game still isn't sold out.
We haven't visited the beaker trash in lawrence for football in 21 years and they can't even sell out this jr college stadium?

They overpriced the game and the resellers did even higher. I guarantee if you just show up there you'll find tickets.

Looks like StubHub has them at 120 per as of this moment. They will likely drop later today.
I’m in California until next week or I would be driving over from KC. Taking the kids to the Troy game next week, but I wish it was the one tonight.
I hope to see a lot of black and gold on tv tonight! Get there if you can.

MU fan turnout is likely to be low. Most everyone around here has no interest in going to lowrents.
