Don’t rightly get what MU leadership is thinking. Do we not have any guys left in the sports programs that remembers the Big 12 cancer?

Americans have shorter memory spans these days and it’s scary, so no, you aren’t taking crazy pills.

I'll bet in the final analysis, if there are 3 more votes, we'll vote NO.

But I'm starting to believe there aren't 3 more votes.

Sounds like kU to B10 is heating up. Big congrats to Rutgers football on this.

This is a done deal or we wouldn't being hearing about it.

Mizzou needs use their yes vote for the best leverage they can which would be making sure they are not in the same 4 team pod with Texas.

I hope the SEC recognizes the hate MU has for the Big 8 and Big 12 killer tX. frick 'em!

ku basketball would do well there but can you imagine how bad their football program will continue to suck? Where will they recruit players from if they can't go to Texas?

A MU yes better be contingent upon not ending up in some shitty big 12 castoff pod.

Oh it will happen. Mizzou will get the shaft in pod alignment. All in all, being in a pod with Texas, A&M, and OU would be better for recruiting than Arkansas, Kentucky, Tennessee, etc.

Why is this?

Mainly because so much of our research $ comes from the ag school. It is stupid as hell but if our Ag school did worse we would have no issues.

The SEC consortium helped all the other schools with research $ so we should be fine regardless.

we have had our incoming student metrics lower since then.

Academics has nothing to do with AAU. It is an association based on research $ only.

Am I taking crazy pills? Has the last decade really smoothed things over that much? I am flabbergasted at the amount of people (especially on the Rant) who are ok with Texas joining. People seriously don’t grasp the deadly toxin that is the Texas Longhorns? They kill every conference they touch and it’s not a coincidence

in this case Texas is coming hat in hand and has to play by the SEC rules. the only way texas can ruin it is if they convince others to vote for their shite. I think everyone else knows whats up by now.

The big12 begged Texas to come over and did what it needed to to make them happy. Different situation this time around.

EDIT: and i say that as a staunch supporter of voting NO.

I think a POD of OU, Arky and Mizzou is almost a must. It would be great for our attendance. After that, give us whatever.

Been a long time since I read that article, guess I blended in student metrics. I know it is mostly research, and we are watching everyone else in the fast lane go by as far as that is concerned.
It isn't an ag department issue.

I don't care if we're in the same pod with them, but I heard one pub is predicting:

Texas
Texas A&M
Oklahoma
Mizzou

I would tell Sankey our yes just became no.

Whoever gets Vandy and Tenner gets a soft ride to begin with, but putting us in a 4 team pod with three Top 5 potential programs would be complete bullshite.

The only way this makes sense is to be in a pod with ou, Arkansas and Texas and/or A&M. If that isn't cool, then they need to jump with ku to the Big 10.

I dont think ku to the B1G is solid. Theyve got big legal and recruiting issues and they are an average academic school. Sure theyve got bball, but what else? Kansas city viewers?
