Go read the thread on the Arkansas board, I think their fans are all for it, the last decade has broken them

I agree but the best revenge would be beating their asses on a yearly basis. That would be the sweetest thing of all.

The biggest issue, is that Florida and South Carolina will see this as their opportunity to forever close the door on Clemson, Miami and Florida State

I must have missed something, but what is the tweet from Coach Drink about the "B team" with Pete Thamel?

Big 10 will offer Mizzou

Don't get my hopes up. I've made no secret that I'd like Mizzou in the Big Ten.

But that would be a helluva longshot bet.

Big 10 showed their true colors last year. Tried to cancel the season, then panicked and pussied out when the SEC, B12, and ACC didn't follow suit. I want nothing to do with a conference that will use their members' athletic programs for political gain

Seems some are thinking the SEC would grab VA and NC over Texas and Okie?

Not to be a dick but anyone wanting us in the Big 10 is waving their bitch card. We are in THE football conference and you bitches wanna run. frick that Mizzou already has a shite rep. Turning tail and running, which is what it would be, paints Mizzou as lowly and pathetic. Nut the hell up and dig into the fight to compete with the true big boys.

Big Ten is a very good conference too, I don’t think anyone would fault you guys if they offered and you accepted it

Our academics are becoming a hollowed out shell. There are specs that the AAU likes to see as measures of a University's ability academically. We were getting dangerously close to the bare minimums before 2015, and we have had our incoming student metrics lower since then.
I wish this weren't so. Not trying to rip on my school.

Just saw Finebaum on ESPN. He thinks it's going to happen.

But think about it if it does. They'll want us to move West and Alabama schools head East.

So what do we call the divisions?
Southeast Division and Southwest Division?
or how about
Original SEC Division and Greater Texas Division

Am I taking crazy pills? Has the last decade really smoothed things over that much? I am flabbergasted at the amount of people (especially on the Rant) who are ok with Texas joining. People seriously don’t grasp the deadly toxin that is the Texas Longhorns? They kill every conference they touch and it’s not a coincidence

There are even fellow MU brethren in on it. I don’t get it.

Yeah that is astounding to me. The reports that MU wouldn’t even vote against the addition, if true, would have me livid. How can people forget so quickly…

As a kid in the 80s, I had a great appreciation for the Big 8. When Texas, Texas A&M, Baylor and Texas Tech came in, I hoped for the best but we saw what happened.

Although I don’t want those assholes in the SEC, i have a feeling this deal is done. I hope the sec doesnt give in. I think that bama, lsu, florida and uga are much more valuable and the conference knows it. i hope they dont forget it.

My suggestion hope for the pods is
West- a&m, lsu, texas okie
North- mizzou, vandy uk, arky
East, tenn, usc , uga fla
South msu, ole miss, bama, auburn

We’d be in the easiest pod, but any pod with vandy is the easiest. You could swap okie and arky for more balance.

Same here. I don't want the Big 10. Forget them. Them and the Pac 12 looked like fools as the season progressed. I'm happy in the SEC. I have no interest in any other conference. The SEC is home now. Enough of the fantasy joining the Big 10. It's not happening.

Agree on A&M; include Bama, both MS schools and Vandy bc Vandy wants to say "hey don't forget about us?
