Sometimes it feels like the MU press crew just does not get it. When most of the MU fan base is currently feeling pretty confident this basketball season will go down as a giant wasted opportunity, they are going gaga over the coach singing the NCAA tournament song.

I understand they have to maintain a good relationship to maintain access for quotes and thoughts, but this kind of stuff is the latest example that suggests they cross the line.

Agree. The Rock M dolts, especially, have really gone overboard in their love fest while the Mizzou fans I'm in contact with are apathetic at best.

I don't even look at that sight anymore. I was mainly referring to Matter and Gabe.

I think he’s in the wrong profession. If he wants to be a professor and teach about civil rights go do that and that’s a worthwhile profession. But don’t be a college basketball coach and say there’s more to life than winning basketball games. Duh idiot. We get that. But you’re paid millions to win basketball games. So start caring or get out.

As someone who got banned from RockM calling out CCM (even though there were multiple posters telling me to EFF OFF, calling me names, etc) and I was just straight posting facts (poor shooting %, lack of coaching at critical points in game, poor recruiting) ...
Wouldn't put too much cred in anything posted over there. It's like a mind hive of SJW who can't objectively evaluate players, coaches, etc.

I have come to expect it from Matter. Grew very weary of his nonstop defense of Yost and Steckel through the Pinkel years. Gabe jumping in on the Martin fanboy bandwagon this year has surprised and disappointed me.

Just read some new Dave Matter blather. Seems he's not happy with negative Mizzou fans. Says we're "hurting the basketball program."
Following sports teams is, at least among sane people, entertainment. If folks aren't entertained, they'll gripe.

I don't think the fans are hurting the team or the program's reputation as much as losing double digit leads in the second half on a regular basis.

I don’t even know if I want to see Cuonzo fired. It’s more I just want to see him be behind a microphone and acknowledge blowing a 10 point lead with 3 minutes left isn’t acceptable and not say that’s who this team is

I think the big disconnect with Cuonzo, is that he doesn't seem incompetent, he has a stately stature, but his program gives you the feeling like it is under performing. Whether it's weird losses or recruiting, you just feel like a guy like this should have a better program.

All of you need to wake up and realize CCM isn't going anywhere this year, or for a while. He has made the tourney twice now, so be happy, dammit! That is a positive trajectory. Could Mizzou be better? Yes, but this group has got a lot out of its abilities. The incoming class will be fortified with a couple transfers, so mello out and enjoy this year! M-I-Z!
