Nuke, LOL, I could not have said it better.

"I hope you are lucky enough to land Walters as your secondary coach. He is very gifted at making sure the best WR on the other team is matched up with his worst cover option with no deep help."

TJ Moe tweeted he is looking forward to the "chess match" between the Odom defense and the Drink offense.

I am looking forward to it for different reasons. I don't think anyone else will be calling it a chess match. I think MU may be setting new single game passing yardage records.

Which AR safety will MU put up 200 yards on?

And we will have a chance if we are turned into a run-only team by injury! Just study Kentucky's offensive game plans.

That wasn’t Odom’s defense.

What do you make of Odom's "blowup" now?

LINK

Arkansas guy posted this on the Rant and I kind of laughed and rewatched it. I think now it screamed more a guy making excuses and trying to buy more time claiming it was a "turnaround". I really never felt Odom understood how to run an effective program. The entire 4 years felt like a continuation of the first. Shitty losing streaks followed by Mizzou beating shittier teams and salvaging the season.

I can't wait to torch his defense next year.

I find it interesting that Odom got shunned by Memphis, I guess they saw the light.

Memphis wants Offensive coaches, not a guy who just failed to score points.

I think he'll be an effective coordinator. But that's his limit. This way he does not have to deal with subordinate adults, and discipline can dictated by someone else.

I doubt he made the initial list at Memphis.

I think he's got the system to do that, but the players might be thin on the field the 1st year or two.

This.

All I ask is for our defense to make it to third down.

Odom will do just fine at Arky. 808's words still stick with me. The guy knows football. He doesn't know management. I think when his responsibility is only running the defense, he will do well. Might be heresy, but I would have taken him as a DC if it wasn't impossible for a HC to get demoted and stay with a team.

While we are talking ARkie that place is like rats leaving a sinking ship,

Arkie is going from a major major rebuild to a major major major rebuild.

It's alot easier to justify your candidacy as a head coach if you turn around the 110th rated defense. He will leave when his job is done and get a job at a school like Houston or the equivalent.

Barry Odom is an excellent DC hire IMO. Not great news on the recruiting trail either.

What recruits did Barry get from Missouri that make you say that?

Odom is a mediocre recruiter at best

Barry got a surprising number of good players, especially considering how poorly his team was doing

He's going to be a good DC for them. Too bad we couldn't keep him

Football Scoop says B0s contract is $1.2 million.

How much will Mizzou be responsible for then?

Arkansas: Defensive coordinator Barry Odom is set to make $1.2 million according to the Arkansas Democrat Gazette. The Razorbacks have made his addition to the staff official today
