Do you want Mizzou and kU to restart the rivalry?

Wondering how other people feel about this. Personally, I have no desire to ever play kU again. I'm sure that's an unpopular opinion, but that's the way I feel about it.
The rivalry was never fun to me. It was basically a war, and an exhausting one at that. Winning the games wasn't nearly on the level as the frustration of losing them. There wasn't as much to gain as there was to lose. It was not so much "I hope we beat them", as it was "I hope we don't lose". The "banter" with their fans was never fun. It was brutal and nasty. It brought out the worst in both sides. Basketball was usually lopsided in their favor, and football (while not always the case) became lopsided in our favor. Everything centered around "Oh well wait til basketball season" or "wait til football season". Personally, I have such disdain for that university as well as the state of kansas, that I don't even want to play them. I like how it is now. Out of sight, out of mind. I say good riddance. Let it be done. It was played out and devolving into pure hate. I look forward to being a member of the Southeastern Conference and building new rivalries here. Arkansas, South Carolina, and Ole Miss are all lining up nicely to be spirited affairs. We don't need kansas, and they don't need us. We've gone our seperate ways and it should stay that way. Should we meet in a tournament, fine. But other than that, I hope to never play them again.
Sorry for the TL:DR, I'm supposed to be studying for finals and am finding anything else to do instead of it.

Beating them in the BB tourny one time would be nice. I like to see those epic Bill Self meltdowns when his team is getting beat in the second half by Mizzou. Nothing gets to him more then that, and knocking them out of a tourny would be the icing on the cake.

When the move to the SEC was first made, I hoped that the rivalry would continue. Now that we are almost 2 years removed, and after listening to the butthurt from KU and its fans, I truly have no desire to play them on a regular basis.
Their football team is a never-ending shite show and would be a no win situation for Mizzou if they played them.
If their is a benefit for Mizzou in playing them in football or basketball, fine, but otherwise I have no interest.

In the past, I would have said yes. But over the past couple weeks kansas fans that I know (high school age so it is probably worse) always feel the need to talk about Mizzou's loss to SC or Auburn or about how their basketball team is great and Mizzou basketball is a joke because we haven't played their schedule. Anyways, the arguing has become even more pointless than it already was. I still love seeing kansas lose but I don't say anything about it because arguing with kansas fans is like arguing with a brick wall, pointless and only makes you look bad imo.

Really the rivalry is toxic, could really care less about playing kU

It looks like we're reaching a consensus.

Would love a neutral site game in KC every year for both football and basketball. I think the rivalry means more to us here cause we have to coexist with the beakers.

I'd rather have a yearly SEC - B1G showdown at Arrowhead with the Nubs to completely marginalize them.
Otherwise... K-Who??

I like that, it could be an old Big 8 rematch.
frick kU. Since we don't play them it's much easier to not spend money in their flat arse state.
Besides, playing them in football would really hurt our strength of schedule.

Pretty much the same sentiments here. When we first moved I had hoped that the two would continue to play. Now, I don't give 2 shites about them and see no need or desire to play them. I'm all on board with playing the Nubs though.

Don't care about them.
They are a team Mizzou used to play, nothing more. Not being from that area of the state probably has an impact for many, I realize that. If you are going to build an out of conference rivalry, at least make it a good one that would help SOS like playing Nebraska, Iowa or Oklahoma.
The only emotional attachment I have to them is that I love watching Bill Self melt every time it is brought up. Can't get enough of that.

I'd rather just go burn Lawrence.

Me too. That and watching all the beakers get their feathers ruffled. I personally think Mizzou should throw a challenge at them at least twice a year so the whole nation can continue to be reminded what little bitches they are.

I was all for keeping the rivalry going till Burrito Bill shot off his mouth and refused to play us. Now I say F them and their fans. They cried like little bitches now they have to deal with it.
I could not agree more with those who say MU/Nubbers at Camrohead every year. That stadium would be full since KC has a ton of Sker fans and Omaha and Lincoln are just a couple hours away. If that were done earlier in the year while NU's hopes are still alive that could make for an epic atmosphere.
Just my 2 or 3 cents

This would be awesome. I don't think either side would go for it, but I sure wish it would happen. That could be a huge game on opening weekend.
