I said Besler and Gonzalez because they are more familiar with each other and that will be important in a big game like we have coming up

Guzan
Cameron Besler Gonzalez Johnson
Beckerman
Bradley Feilhaber
Dempsey
Zardes Altidore
Width wouldn't be too much of an issue because Zardes can roam wide and Fabian would get forward. Beckerman is still our best 6 and Bradley and Feilhaber are both strong defensively and would be able to get forward regularly as well.

Don't like the back four and Feilhaber needs to be in the midfield but this is possibly the best front 6 that we've put out in a while.
Decent start though

Just got home from the game.... What a night.
This is a season-defining win right here. Vancouver has been playing out of their minds, and so has SKC. And then to fight back and score 3 goals in the final minutes? Wow.
Vancouver bossed the first half but whatever PV said to the team at halftime must have had some kind of impact. Ithought it was over whem Pedro Morales came on and even more so after that banger of a free kick. And Kekuta Manneh was spectacular in the first half, pressing high and getting the two goals. But SKC is the definition of a team, and Paulo Nagamura being the guy that scored the final two goals kind of signifies that.

Only guys that did anything for me were Payet and Guzan.
Not making any changes because I don't wanna make a move for one of those Leicester guys or whomever only to have them shite the bed the next few weeks. And having 2 transfers next week will give me a lot of options.

In the past couple of years he was wanting to go back to England but now that he is married and is closer to his citizenship than he was in the past, I would assume that he is perfectly happy staying in KC for a while. Recently he has stated (maybe not so publicly, I don't know) that he would like to get his citizenship.
Now whether he is good enough for the USMNT is a good question...
His biggest asset is his energy and work rate in my opinion. He fits perfectly into the club's high-pressing system although I'm not sure how that would translate into the USMNT's style of play. He is a very good finisher but I wouldn't say he is lethal in front of goal. It's true, he hasn't scored as often this year but that is mostly down to the fact that he hasn't needed to. Last year he was the only goal scoring threat but SKC has more goal scorers this year due to signing Nemeth and the contribution from Feilhaber.
I think he is a fringe USMNT player at this point but he would definitely deserve a few call ups.

Valencia have their work cut out for them... They're of course still expected to go through but Monaco will be as tough a test as any of these teams.
It'll be a major disappointment if they don't advance.

6:35 wake up
6:40 piss
6:41 pour 16 oz glass of milk (either white or chocolate - it's a game-time decision)

6:46 watch Juan Mata, Ander Herrera, and Harry Kane rack up the fantasy points
9:15 go to gym
presumably do nothing for a few hours
3:00 watch SKC - Toronto

If everyone's healthy, the best midfield trio on the team looks like a double pivot of Mata and Schweinsteiger with Schniderlin as a defensive mid (4-3-3 with a DM). The great thing about Herrera is that he can slide into either spot in the pivot. Mata needs some sort of defensive presence next to him, but Herrera can pair well with anyone IMO.
Yeah, from my perspective I'd like to see Herrera, Mata, and Schneiderlin just because I like the two Spaniards...but I'd be worried about the defensive side of things too. Herrera puts in great work defensively but is it enough to cover for Mata? Did Herrera play as a box-to-box midfielder much last year or was he usually the most advanced midfielder when he played? I must admit that I didn't watch United a ton.

Jimmy Conrad has a great Snapchat too. The Venezuelan that you're talking about is Alejandro Moreno.
One of my best friends was on the US U20 World Cup squad this summer.

Hey guys.
Ander Herrera will surely be in the starting XI, no? Daily Mail didn't have him in theirs that was posted on the previous page.... I just don't see how he wouldn't be a regular starter.
Just curious what opinions y'all have of him.

It's really just 1 transfer per week? Damn
MLS is 2 per week and if you don't make any in a week then you get 3 the following week

I agree. Really think they'll challenge for La Liga again this year. Vietto was a fantastic signing this summer, better than Jackson Martinez imo. Simeone loves him and he's coming off a great season.
La Liga will be fun this year. Valencia will pose a strong threat too as they've held on to all their big players that were rumored to be leaving, Otamendi being the big one obviously, and spent a lot of money.
Lots of youth at both clubs (and lots of Mendes...)
