Yeah he is there this weekend. Skipped our recruit weekend. He is gone. Apparently Haley had no relationship with any on his D Line recruits and it was all Odom?

Anybody heard anything on the recruits that came in Saturday?

Or they believe Haley will ultimately be gone.

Logan-Redding to Minnesota, he’s visiting there this week.
Well, it's below zero up here. Maybe that will scare him off.

For four years: "These recruiting classes suck and Odom's players are shite."
The two deep composed of only his players shits the bed down the stretch and "See, told ya he couldn't recruit."
Odom gets fired and decommits start happening "OMFG, what are we going to do without Odom's recruits???"
This class is a wash. Every player that decommits gives ED a chance to find a player that fits his vision. Will they have to hit on some JUCO players in a cycle or two? Probably, but that's what a guy making $4M/yr gets paid to see and plan for.

I'm sure that some of the guys that have/will decommit will go on and contribute at the program they choose. Let's just not act like they are guys that would crack the two deep immediately on an SEC team.

I'm optimistic about future recruiting. I think Drink's enthusiasm will be well received. ED is a pumped-up salesman...and Barry was a bland clerk.

So here's a question I should know, but don't...
Mizzou was penalized four scholarships, correct? Does that mean those four carry through as a loss for a full four years or do they get to recover them at some point along the way?
As an aside, if we have to take a hit on scholarships it might as well be in a year where recruiting is going to take a hit anyway. Drink just needs to make the ones he has this year count.

One more... Maybe with the clean break from the past Mizzou can finally stop gauranteeing players a full four year ride and start actively processing dead weight from the squad like big boy SEC programs.
Or am I off base on this?

Mizzou Fan: “There’s no difference between 60 and 30 in recruiting classes!”
Same fan post Odom: “OMG!! Without Odom, we are at 55th in the rankings?!!?”

Odom’s staff did a better job of recruiting than most will ever give them credit for. They had an eye for talent. But you have to be able to coach and develop that talent. Every offensive position group was worse this season compared to last season. QB was expected, but the others weren’t.
Pinkel and his coaches would have turned the talent Odom brought in into a 9-10 win team this season.

I give him credit. Better eye for talent than pinkel. And then all the rest of what you said.

Odom was the recruiting coordinator for the classes that helped Pinkel turn things around. None of those classes were highly ranked, but they had several players that turned into all conference players.
Drink sent Breske the current recruiting coordinator out on the road recruiting last week

There were several positions that they did well.
LB and RB especially.
They weren’t great at QB and awful at WR. And DE recruiting wasn’t anything to write home about.

Lol. Truth.
It's a typical class full of guys that have to be developed. At this point, the RB out of Tennessee and the WR out of Oklahoma are the guys MU should be putting in overtime on. As you stated in a previous post, there have been multiple whiffs on DE bodies in the last 4 classes. I just don't think any losses out this particular class will tube the plan moving forward.

I was just talking about offense that was worse this season compared to last. DT, LB and Saftey were all better.
DE would probably be ok if Mizzou would quit kicking the guy off the team that’s expected to be the best players at the position.

All the low hanging 3 stars we are losing are easily replaceable.
