He’s mobile in the pocket and that’s what we need with our shite OL. Nobody is saying he’s a better passer than Philo, but at least he can escape the pocket and pick up positive yards when there’s pressure.

All our weapons are finally healthy, id lean towards the guy who gets them the ball more consistently putting them in position to make plays after the catch.
Ppl acting like Philo is a statue in the pocket is inaccurate, I’ve seen plenty of times where he moved and avoided a rush and got the ball out or took off and gained yards.
Yes, he isn’t as shifty as jones as a runner, but neither are gonna have 80 plus yards rushing a game, imo
Let’s face it, both are kinda not fleet of foot as runners lol

Geogia has a very good run defense. My guess is they stuff the box on most downs.

Easier said than done. They’ll stack the box like mizzou did and force Philo to beat them over the top. Problemr is our OL can’t block a 3 man rush so Philo has just a couple seconds.
I hate to say it but knowing our fans, he might lose a chunk of the fan base if the offense is abysmal on Saturday with Philo and we get blown out. At that point it will be 3 straight games of terrible offense and blowouts.
Again I’m not saying Jones is better, but maybe the team rallied around him and he’s better suited to run an O with a bad OL.
