Nice response after the 2 game skid.

Kid averaged 4 yards per pass and ppl acting like he threw for 400 yards with 6 tds.
He ran the offense, period.
He didn’t go deep, like everyone said he would, when he did he underthrew, and missed a few open guys.
But it’s important to say he didn’t lose the game, which in that environment says a lot.
OL and defense deserve their flowers.

If Trammel had the same OL / Defense we had the past two weeks.
We lose

QB competition should be open for next week. May the best man win! I’ll leave it to the coaches to decide and will support their decision. Negagators will question whatever they decide.

Again, I like Trammel. I wanted him to start over DJ last year.

Jones played good today. Good enough to be named QB1? Let’s see how the next couple weeks go. The coaches will decide and as fans we should support it.

lol.. Our defense finally played good. It wasn't because of some great QB play. Philo wins that TX game in the same circumstances. Jones isn't winning the Mizzu or SC games with no running game at all and no defense.

While both QBs bring their own element to the offense, nether is winning a shootout.
If the same Defense shows up vs Texas that played last week, we get hammered n Austin
Same OL, we get hammered
If we start Philo vs UGA, Go Gators!
If we start Jones vs UGA, Go Gators!
If we do a Leak / Tebow deal, Go Gators!
Both QBS are making their first full time starts this yr and to hold one to a standard and not the other is some bs.
Philo missed an open guy, Jones did too.

I think at this point, if Philo's shoulder is an issue you have no choice.
I'd also say regardless of Philo or Jones, the QB is not really the issue in this offense - the issue is the pieces around them.
If the OL plays like it did yesterday, I don't think it will matter between Jones or Philo, both will play really well.
If the OL plays like it did against Mizzou/South Carolina, good luck.
The other part is that our WR's need to get healthy. The entire group is banged up, even Dallas was limping around yesterday. We needed the bye in the worst way.

Yep for us to win we need either the running game going really good if the defense is playing bad or we need the defense playing good and an actual running threat at least. It takes a Chambliss like QB to win many games your defense is playing bad.

I really like Jones. He's just more dynamic with a stronger arm and his legs forced the defense to stay home instead of collapsing on the runner. He's able to extend plays in a way Philo can't.

Jones is limited also. He just dinked and dunked mostly with his completions with a very low avg per pass. He did have some key runs though. There is no upgrade at all imo as nether look to be QBs that can carry teams when most everything else falls apart. Very few QBs can though.
