Some people think Armstrong was given back control of the defense.
As far as Napier having to win 7 games to remain like the unnamed big booster says I am not sure I buy that if he beat LSU and FSU (even if I agree with it). I do think 3 straight losses probably finishes him and Ole Miss couldn't save him then but if he isn't blown out by both GA and TX and beats LSU and FSU I think he could survive. I guess if that is big booster Gary there and the others are on board they could force his firing anyway though.

I could be persuaded to support another year if he wins 7 or more games.
My question is who are the Gators going to beat? FSU is a must win, so who are the other 2 out of UG, UT, LSU and Ole Miss. I would rank the possibility in this order. Ole Miss, LSU, UG, UT. although I am not optimistic that we will win any of these. My fear is that the defensive improvement is "fools gold" because we have beaten teams with bad QBs that had receivers running open all over the field and they couldn't hit them. Now that other teams know that Lagway might throw the ball down the field, they will adjust to stop it, so we are back to Napier's play calling handicapping the offense. Add that to the special teams making at least on big blunder a game and stupid penalties and you get a 5-7 record, if we beat FSU.

Praying for a GA upset but certainly not expecting one.

Maybe I still care a bit, but for the most part it is

Look at it this way - at least we don't have to waste our Saturdays anymore

Oh I’m a glutton for punishment. I won’t be traveling to games but will tune in for sure.

Been spending my Saturdays doing whatever I want. Record the games so I can watch if we win, and didn’t waste 3.5hrs of my life if we lose.
Our AD doubled down on stupidity and our coach may be the worst in-game coach in the SEC.
Protecting my peace or whatever…

Napier is definitely back next season now. Hopefully he can get his crap together.

The players love Napier, if they would play better and win more games, fans will too! Go Gators!

He is our coach next year. So it's time whether some like it or not to rally around this team and coach.
The players love this guy and play hard. Getting to 6 wins is better way better then most of us thought going into the season.
Im not sure what will happen against Ole Miss.
But lagway will definitely have to be able to move around the pocket this week ole miss is way better in the front 7 then LSU.
The last thing we need is for lagway to get taken out of the game.
Even as bad as FSU is im not sure we can win that game with Warner at QB
Which would be a very upsetting way to finish the season to lose to a 1 or 2 win FSU team

Yeah it's time we lay off and get on the train.
We need recruits now and some very solid transfers.
Preferably on both sides of the L.O.S.
and. Edge Rusher or 2
This team with the right players could be very very good next year

It's funny how the perception of a coach or program can change based on one game or even one player. I guess that's why we have to evaluate these things at the end of the season.
1) We go 5-7, and Napier is absolute trash. Won't ever win here and will just try to ride DJ's coattails.
2) We go 6-6, and Napier sucks but we are "improving" and the guys are playing for him and should be a lot better next year. The narrative could then be that all the losses came from the hands of teams that were either all in playoff contention or ranked in the top 15. Win the bowl game, then 7-6 looks way better. First winning season in Napier era. We could then try to convince ourselves that we should be ranked in the 20-25 range, with a threat to challenge for a top 15 spot with the right offseason moves.
3) Go 7-5, Napier is the right guy and just needed time. Met expectations almost everyone had for the season with the slate before us. Same narrative applies about only losing to teams that are in playoff contention. Win a bowl game and go 8-5, Napier will get a contract extension and pay raise. Haha
I think the second scenario is most likely, with the bowl game really determining the offseason perception of Napier, recruiting, transfer portal, coaching hires, etc.

I agree, provided we don't shite the bed in the last 2 games. The Gators need to show up against Ole Miss and play like they did against LSU and if they do anything is possible. Then they must beat FSU soundly, a lost to this FSU team would be devastating. Win them both and a bowl game and the future is bright and all this negativity will be put to rest.
