...and you can trash me for this...fine...if..he would adopt the Dabo model and hire great coordinators and keep a "hands off" and let them do their thing. When Dabo started off he dabbled with the play calling on both sides of the ball. That did not go well and he soon stopped and now just sits back and takes credit for the coordinators hard work. Muschamp is likable...smart and comes off well to recruits and in the media.I think he could be a great CEO (which is more of the HC job in this day and age) and take the program to the next level. If he is unwilling...fire him and get someone who understands this concept....now...trash away !

I don't think he'd make a great CEO.

He doesn't come off smart to me at all.

I like him a lot personality wise. He says all of the right things and does most things right.......except win.

If he won consistently he would be truly a great all around coach. But since he lacks in the W column he is below average.

Any CEO who is a micromanager isn’t a good CEO.

Seems like a tryhard with very little social skills and can be borderline psychotic.

I'm not saying Muschamp is a good CEO type coach, but this depends on the situation honestly. In some situations it's needed.

When you have ineffective team members under you and mission failure is not an option, you have to micromanage.

Generally micromanagement is a symptom of mistrust in the skills, abilities and motivation of those in your team that you're managing. Additionally, teaching someone a new skill is a form of micromanagement. So micromanagement is an effective tool and has it's place in a work environment.

The problem is if you are having to micromanage, you don't have the time to do your own job.

This. I feel like he'd be a great commentator. The dude knows the X's and O's of football and I think he'd be great at analyzing a game from up in the booth without the worry of having to actually coach. He just can't seem get that "book knowledge" to translate into "practical success".

Don't project your own issues onto Muschamp.

Anyone who says “We’re not that far off” after losing numerous games this season by 20+, losing at home to App State and in 4 years never once being competitive against our rival, is not a person seeing reality.

Muschamp is blind to his own faults and if he can’t see his faults we shouldn’t expect him to correct his (our team’s) faults. Next year will be his 9th as a HC. Look back over 8 years. He is what he is. None of us should expect it to be any different next year or the year after that if he’s still here. We shouldn’t hope for him to become a Dabo or any other HC who wins consistently. We should expect more of the same from him, anything else would be an anomaly.

I would have no issue if Muschamp couod do this but i doubt his ego nor him being a control freak would allow this.

Muschamp strikes me as a stubborn and arrogant prick. He's tired of talking about losing? You're getting paid millions to lead this sack of shite you ingrate fricker. He can go to hell for all I care.

He's a wannabe football guy.
Wannabe because he doesn't win.

Atleast SOS told it like it was.

I think that's what we all miss.

Let me help you out with this. Not long ago after 2 average at best seasons as our HC. Right around that time he fired dip shite Roper. Muschamp was given a gift from our AD. A nice, fat blank check and told he could hire the best OC money could buy. Instead of doing so he chose to promote a "good recruiter" and bring in Werner to hold his hand and teach him the RPO. Why, because Muschamp is a micromanager and has to be in control.

So you're hypothetical does't hold up you see. Because while Dabo is dumb, he was smart enough to realize he couldn't hold Spurriers jocks strap as a coach. Muschamp is so stupid he doesn't realize how stupid he is. The answer was simple and still is simple.

Lane Kiffen

If Tanner was smart he'd not allow Muschamp to mentally shite his pants again. He'd make it mandatory that Kiffen get hired to coach our offense at $2 million and he'd do it. Because he could get his balls wet in Charleston and Charlotte on the weekends and take the HC when we fire this dumb shite next year. If you think for one second Kiffen wants to be in Arkansas, you're high. He can compete in the east all day long and go against Saban if he does.

Muschamp doesn’t seem like the guy that would make that hire
And Tanner would have never allowed it

Plus Kiffin ain’t going anywhere for a coordinator position.

It’ll be interesting if Arkansas does hire him

Think he meant back then, when Kiffin wasn't employed?

so even back then, I don't think either would have looked at Kiffin.
