During football season, my wife thinks I'm completely insane because of my many superstitions.

For Example,
"But honey, we CAN'T have chicken salad for lunch because the game isn't until 5 pm!!"
"You DO realize that your diet has NOTHING to do with the performance of the football team, right?"
"Yes....

...But I also don't want to take any chances..."

I remember growing up, my mom went upstairs to do something, we scored, she came back downstairs..and she was quickly banished back upstairs for the rest of the game. We won so it was worth it in everyones minds.

I believe that was in 2001, so I was young and got an early taste of superstition

Putting this here for posterity.

Even if it's just for a few brief days, we sit atop the SEC in a Men's sport...

I'm honestly not too worried about this group. They've proven they're an unselfish, hard-nosed fundamental team that plays to win. I think what we're seeing is just that and I look for them to keep getting better.

Crazy what happens when you not only have a competent style of basketball, but also encourage fans and don't berate them.

Franks biggest mistake was chewing fans out after 2017. Dawn on the other hand, dove head first into the FAMS thing and ....it worked for one and not the other

Wed is a BIG game. After yesterday, I don't know what to think. Will Auburn roll over and pull a Kentucky, or will they be pissed off with something to prove and try and run us out of the gym. Haven't been this nervous about a B-ball game since we played in the final 4.

I won't be shocked if we lose to Auburn, but that also wouldnt be a bad loss.

Women won today by 18 against UConn. The game we used to get beat by 15+ in we are now winning easy. Credit to Dawn

Reading this thread for the first time .... the wife and I were in Paris with the girls. We had a blast and so did they. Got to spend time with them, a lot of times at meals and sigh seeing .... the girls had it going-on from the get go.

You know, when Dawn is relaxed and away from all the BS and the limelight .... she's pretty fun to be around. She had a really good time in Paris.

Then there's the other Paris trip this season .... Lamont and his crew. No one saw this coming. All I know us that everyone is being careful not to jinx them. Plus we're hoping Chloe doesn't mess-up CMB.

She seems to be bringing out the best in his game, and vice versa.

It's college, chances are it does end, but it's still an exciting time for them. I support it fully.

The #11 Gamecocks play #13 Auburn in Alabama Wednesday.

Should be a good game, albeit a tough game. In my opinion if we win this one we would move up to a high 3 seed, maybe a 2 seed

Might be the biggest game of the regular season.

Bama beat us.

Auburn beat Bama.

If we be Auburn, at their place, 3-way tie for first with canceling tie breakers so it goes to the next tie breaker ... provided we all three finish with the same conference record.

But, more importantly, a win in Auburn gives us a huge bump in all the metrics ratings. Beat Auburn, take 2 of the remaining 5 ... we definitely pull a 5 seed or above.

Absolutely.

You feel like the games that are "should wins" are A&M, UF, State with Ole miss being a toss up. The games that would be an upset imo are UT and Auburn tonight.

3 of 6 would make me happy. 4 of 6 and id be in heaven.

He has retained coaches well thus far.

but holy hell last night was not great. Auburn is damn good...at least at home. Lots of winnable games still. I want to beat Trae Hannibal so bad for leaving. He is up next
