Which is wild. There was a time when he was easily one of the most beloved figure in Gamecock athletics history, if not outright the most beloved. I would’ve thought his legacy was untouchable but God what a mess hes made.

we play in BR in 3 weekends and have 6 home games while LSU hosts A&M and plays in Starkville - it's not impossible for Carolina to have more SEC wins than Mainieri's beloved tigers when USC gets to town - none of them won by him -

sadly because Gamecock baseball is winning, there are more and more folks wanting to keep Monte in some capacity. Surely we can't keep him right?

I thought that too....but I am still seeing it. I want the kind of job security and support that he has. Watch it, we will take 2 of 3 this weekend against an awful LSU team and the voices will be loud again.
I saw some folk that felt us just making the tournament was reason enough to keep him because "the players had hope again"....It's a top 5 NIL spending roster, making the tournament should have been a bare minimum.

What scares me is our AD just said he was just now starting the search. This has Monte all written on it especially with Tanner still in house

yeahhh. I feel like the answer I want is to go full on LSU and throw the bag at Schnall down at Coastal, but there are definitely a few really good names out there. Ramsey at GT I would think would be one we could pull.
If it's Monte I flat out won't watch. I already haven't been. Every win we get I see the Monte supporters pulling for him. Begging that he at least be on staff.
