One could tell the two teams came to the park with different emotions. I personally believe Kingston may have tried to throttle our emotions too much ... kept them bottled-up.

I think Holbrook has MAJOR issues with getting fired last year and holds a grudge. He cratered one of the nation's best baseball programs but still probably doesn't understand why he was fired.
Regardless, that was one of the worst baseball performances I've ever seen from South Carolina.

I didn't go to the game yesterday. May go today (Saturday) if I decide I'm into sadomasochism ... because, for a fan, your asking to be gagged, spanked and have six inch spikes shoved up your butt following this team. It's brutal. Most bi-polar baseball team I have ever seen.

We seem to be very tolerant of this as Gamecocks. Seems to be the majority of what we always endure is like that.
Maybe that's why we get along so well with the Aggies?

I hate 4pm games.

Same exact thing here. Woke up and checked both men and women. Seems like if our ladies lose, our guys win and vice versa. I was pleasantly surprised with our guys and disappointed that our ladies lost the tourney to Florida. Still proud of them, tho. They still have more playing to do so we still have a shot at winning it all in softball.

I know we aren’t where we want to be, especially in midweek games, but holy shite the turn around from this team is insane.
What did we lose, like ten series in a row? Now we’ve won 4. I had completely given up on the team this year until the LSU series.

Just a fwiw but Kingston has been quietly saying all year that we're only going to get better the more Holbrook's players graduate and are replaced by players Kingston recruits who begin learning his agressive style the moment they step on campus. It's been tough getting some of the older players to adopt to approaching his the game in his style each and every time they take the field.
Plus we return some pitchers.
Plus our recruiting is still excellent and if we take into consideration how the freshmen have contributed this year and if we can expect future classes to contribute equally ... we should be in really good shape moving forward.
If we get out of a Regional and into a Super Regional this year we should consider this a successful season but think about that ... we're a program that expects nothing less than a Super Regional and trip to Omaha every season.
We're still reloading and rebuilding. That's a whole lot better than we've done the last four or five seasons.
Plus we return some pitchers.

I believe if we get the W tomorrow coupled with an OM loss will give us the 4th seed and a bye.

So we know UGA punched their ticket to a bye with the extra innings win tonight over Arkansas, best we can do is tie UGA plus they own the head-to-head over us.
If Ole Miss loses and we win there is another tie and we own the head-to-head ... but is that how they figure it or do they use overall winning percentage these days?
