He didn’t rip anything off. People have been using that phrase for literal decades. My middle school football coach used to say that back in 2000.

“Locking the gate” has been around for decades. No one stole anything. You think Pittman is just sitting in his office watching YouTube videos of pregame speeches? Specifically Hugh Freeze? Lol
