Why is TAMU's arena basically empty?

I've poked in a couple of times on ESPN to see that game, and damn.. looks like a practice game. Why is an SEC basketball arena empty for a conference game?

Aggies? What's goin' on over there?

Front runners. Their stadiums are rarely at capacity

We only support basketball when we're winning the conference, like we did 3 years ago.

They’re out tipping cows and waiting for midnight throat practice with their favorite yell boy.

No following yet.
They’ll get there.
I’m proud of this team.
They’re not talented, and they aren’t deep ... but Coach Buzz is doing a nice job of lighting a fire under ‘em.

I think the right answer here is:
aggies suck ?

Their small baseball "stadium" has the same problem.

Without a doubt.
It’s why we fired our coach.
But they’re overachieving, thus far; cant ask for more.

Not sure why you placed Blue Bell Park/in “stadium” quotes; but you’re incorrect re: attendance.

This thread is the exact reason we need two different tSECr boards.
Too many fools here who want to dork out.

Kennedy sucked the life out of it for a long time.

Aggies rebuilding. With rare exceptions, schools that lose a lot (especially at home), lose their fanbase temporarily. A&M has some talent to build around and they looked pretty good against Mizzou tonight.

You guys have a great coach. You need to support him before he starts to feel unappreciated and goes somewhere else.

He’ll be supported.
He knew exactly what he was getting into (this ain’t his first stop in Aggieland) when he sought out this gig.
His fam is back home in Texas, and he’s building.

He better, because he seemed to really like Knoxville when he was here last week. I wouldn't mind him here after Barnes is gone.

FIFY.

But it was a great season. Only had 1 loss at home that year.
