The guy's only played three college games and people are already melting down.
It's not just Reichard; CBS showed a stat during Saturday's game that said Alabama has the most missed field goals in college football over the last several years.

Yea, sorry, but if there one position on the football field where Alabama fans are absolutely 100% positively entitled to melt down whenever we damn well please it is kicker.

I think he'll end up being a good one...but right now he's on par to set the record for most uprights hit in a season...

The results actually say otherwise and that's all we have to go on.
Fair enough. But if you cannot tell a difference when you watch him kick vs. some of the guys we've had in the past who kicked low, line drive, knuckle balls every dang time...I don't know what to tell you. Kid is going to be good. 4/7 with two long ones off the post and a narrow miss on the other. He's very close to being 7/7. He kicks them in the end zone every time on kick-offs. My only knock on him is the one missed XP but almost all of them are right down the pipe. I stand by my statement that he's going to be a good one. My special teams worry now is....punter.

I think we should have Mac Jones holding, how would you to be the kicker that broke Tua hand, I know i would think about it on every kick.
I’m not saying it’s never happened, but I’ve never heard of a kicker breaking a holder’s hand at any level. Thats kind of like saying how would you like to be the center who somehow snapped the ball under tua’s face mask and broke his nose?

Only one man can save Alabama's kicking game...

Yep, Tider04 onecan seethe difference. Especially after he missed the PAT. Did not affect him. He came right back and pounded the next one right down the middle. Kid’s got mental toughness.

I think it has more to do with practice routine/schedule and the lack of time that ALL of the parts (kicker, holder, snapper, entire line) are together to work during practice.

I think it's more due to the culture that Saban has built. Every day is a competition for every single position. That kind of pressure can easily get to anyone.
Now apply that to the kickers who's job is already more mental than anything else.
Is it any wonder the best kicker we've had was a yoga-loving hippie from Colorado?

I don't feel like our kicker is looking over his shoulder. I would bet that coach goes out of his way to make sure he knows it too. I agree with the guy that blamed practice.

No, the curse of Daniel Carlson. Kid wore Bama jammies to bed all his life, but when recruiting time came, we told him, "No thanks. We have this Polish kid ...".

I have heard more than a few instances about how little time is actually spent between the snapper, holder and kicker during regular practice sessions. Most of the time the kicker is just using his kicking tee.
And if the holder happens to be the starting QB, he has to spend most of his time on other things besides holding.

That’s an interesting theory.
