We all were given a great experience regardless of how it ended.

Thank you Bruce Pearl and Auburn Men’s basketball team for making this an AWESOME memory for all Auburn fans!

This loss hit me as hard as anything in my 54 years of being an Auburn fan but by tomorrow all I will really remember is how great this team was and how much damn fun they were to watch. I'm hoping that this is just the beginning of many runs through the tournament with Coach Pearl. War fricking Eagle!

I'm listening to One Shining Podcast, notoriously anti Pearl (understandable why), and it is making feel better

The way they are talking about how well the team played and how well coached we were

They called us the perfect Cinderella. A fun team that was not supposed to be here but was every bit deserving and capable to win it all

So many Cinderella runs like SC and Loyola Chicago are just happy to be there and clearly are overmatched

I listen to OSP regularly and I don't let the Pearl hate bother me. If you're from big 10 country like Titus is, hating Pearl is in your blood. Tate seems to like Pearl a little bit more that Titus though.

Titus was teammates with Aaron Craft, the recruit at the center of the BBQ too.

Of course but they were pretty respectful by OSP standards of Auburn, the players and heartbreak.

See above.

Tate treats it like a fun villain storyline.

Titus is a basketball purist from Indiana with personal connections to Bruces worst character moment. It's different

Auburn/SEC fans at large don't seem to realize just how serious Pearls frickup was.

It wasn't a BBQ that did him in, it was that Pearl was a legit "bad guy" in the process and risked the careers of coaches and players.

I love Pearl, believe he made a mistake and learned + has fresh perspective on his role as a coach. He has made amends as best he can with Thomas, a guy who says they're good after recently called Pearl a "Snake" 30 years after their incident. Pearl has owned his mistakes and is trying to make an impact that goes well beyond the court.

Any lingering doubt for me though was erased after the post game. The selfish thing would be for Pearl to make a scene and talk about how his team got screwed. He chose the right road, what was best for the players, coaches and school

I'm happy he's our coach, scars and all. I think he's a better coach for the players, school and community because of the mistakes he's made

I do think was a legit “bad guy” in it, but a lot of it came out of him just thinking this was a small thing he could lie about and it would blow over. But you’re right, he put a lot of people at risk and didn’t properly weigh the consequences of everyone involved. He’s grown from it.

In a way, I am not really mad. I felt like we were playing with free money yesterday and was not as upset. If we would have won yesterday, I would have been nervous as hell tomorrow with just one game left. It would have felt more real.

Very happy for the team and everyone involved. Historic season.

If not for Cam Newton, I’d still feel like throwing up
