I thought it would be in before ULaLa. The length of this has me confused on good or bad.

If they wanted to apply the self-imposed it should have come quicker.

If the investigative arm was as screwed up as we have been led to believe, it could take more time to decide a true penalty.

Maybe they are holding back from maximum impact since the NCAA hates us :(

What I am hearing is either right before State or right after State.

No one truly knows, though. The COI has been very, very quiet about the fine details of this process. I know that the COI has to give the University a 24 hour notice before the final verdict is handed down, so when this notice comes, we will know. Until then, we are just waiting and waiting and waiting, much like we have been for months.

Pat Forde I think ,reported that it would be after the MSU game. If this is the case
then I think we get a two year bowl ban. Since Forde is nothing more than a
NCAA mouthpiece I’m worried . It’s turned out to be a major FU to Ole Miss
compared to the violations.

It took 10 weeks for the COI to accept our self-imposed penalties in basketball.

I keep hearing right after. This is from radio morons so take it with a grain of salt. So next Friday I guess?

If we are really going to get fricked super hard why wouldn't they release it before? Its not like we can do anything but moan and bitch. I would assume most think its going to be extremely bad.

IMO, being released right after the Egg Bowl is a good sign.

I don't think they want to punish LL bc it would be a dark cloud over their immunity process. They are basically holding out as a way to protect him (for now).

Dude got completely exposed as a fraud at the COI meeting from all informal accounts.

I (respectfully) disagree - Pat Forde said the results would be released after the Egg Bowl. If that is the case, then Pat Forde has a great source that knows exactly what's happening which means the COI is going to destroy us.

I was hoping there was a canyon between the COI and the investigative arm (where Forde definitely has a source) - if the same source Forde has had throughout is involved in the ultimate results we will be buried as he/she was obviously very anti-Ole Miss throughout the investigation (given the timing of previous Forde leaks).

I haven't really been that worried until recently - if we blow through Thanksgiving it is conceivable the COI may wait until after the early signing period just to bleed us more ... then give us a two year bowl ban with open transfers. We may be looking a decade-long rebuild. Or, they may accept our penalties but drag this out to "unofficially" give us an extra year of recruiting penalties to blow the early signing period similarly to what they did years ago to Miami (delay the outcome of the investigation to hurt recruiting even though the final penalties weren't significant).

Forde may be right about the timing of the verdict but he didn’t predict the outcome associated - that to me would’ve been more damning.

The only plebs predicting huge sanctions are MSU beat writers. The national writers aren’t predicting Chernobyl.

What had Forde claimed our punishment will be?

If the NCAA waits until after the early signing period and throws the book at us, I’m open to throwing all our croot cash to Wikileaks to hack the NCAA and expose their asses. All current MIS and computer programming majors at Ole Miss should focus their efforts on hacking the NCAA. $100 an hour to all nerds with a laptop currently in school.

^^^ This. Never has a team been so heavily punished before actually being punished.

Anybody expecting any news to drop today or over the weekend? Figured this would be the time to release sanctions if the administration knows what they are.

The administration doesn't know. If I had to guess we'll find out Tuesday.

I started to say, "not soon enough, I'm tired of the suspense." However, I'm really not ready yet to let go of the Egg Bowl gloating. And the NCAA verdict is almost certainly gonna throw a wet blanket on that.
