Per Rivals:
Comparing the five common opponents first.
TEXAS A&M--Mizzou by 7 at home, Auburn by 4 on the road (EVEN)
OLE MISS--Mizzou by 14 on the road, Auburn by 8 at home (MIZZOU)
ARKANSAS STATE--Mizzou by 22 at home, Auburn by 29 at home (EVEN)
TENNESSEE--Mizzou by 28 at home, Auburn by 32 on the road (AUBURN)
GEORGIA--Mizzou by 15 on the road, Auburn by 5 at home (MIZZOU)
Now I go through the other seven games. We'll start with each team's toughest game and progress to its easiest
GAME ONE
Auburn beat Bama by 6 at home
Mizzou lost to S. Carolina by 3 at home
EDGE: AUBURN
GAME TWO
Auburn lost at LSU by 14
Mizzou won at Vanderbilt by 23
EDGE: MIZZOU, though it's not huge because at LSU is quite a bit tougher than at Vandy
GAME THREE
Auburn beat Mississippi State by 4 at home
Mizzou beat Florida by 19 at home
EVEN. MSU is a little better, Mizzou won by more
GAME FOUR
Auburn won at Arkansas by 18
Mizzou beat Toledo at home by 15
EVEN. Hogs didn't win an SEC game. Toledo wouldn't have been worse. Maybe a slight edge to Auburn
GAME FIVE
Auburn beat Washington State by 7 at home
Mizzou won at Indiana by 17
EDGE: MIZZOU by a bit. Neither team was very good.
GAME SIX
Auburn beat Florida Atlantic by 35 at home
Mizzou beat Kentucky by 31 on the road
EDGE: I guess Mizzou, but not by much because Kentucky is terrible
GAME SEVEN
Auburn beat Western Carolina by 59 at home
Mizzou beat Murray State by 44 at home
EVEN. I'm not gonna decide which of these terrible teams is less terrible.
Mizzou has the edge if you break it down game by game. That said, Alabama is MUCH better than anyone Mizzou played and LSU is about on a par with South Carolina (maybe a small small small step worse, but in Baton Rouge, probably not).

Trying to compare Auburn to Mizzou based on Auburn's beginning of the season performance is ridiculous. I don't think ayone will argue that Auburn is a way different monster than we were agains say Wash St

I don't know what to expect. I can tell you that Mizzou and Auburn played different Georgia and A&M teams.

Good analysis, but Auburn did win their final two by 1 in 1000 type plays.
However, a good counter to this is 'a win is a win, there are no lucky plays, its about putting yourself in the position to win, and if a break goes your way, its because you gave it an opportunity to happen.'
So I guess the moral of the story is it will be a fun game?

Do you remember that game?
and Auburn....did you see that game?
UGA had about 15 players out against Mizzou and only 6 out against Auburn.

Weird analysis. Auburn beats a team by more than Mizzou, it is a draw. Auburn goes on the road, pounds an SEC team, while Mizzou beats Toledo, it's a draw.
What?
What?

Who beat who else, by what, is irrelevant. Its all about the matchup of the 2 teams playing.
