The Iron Bowl is replete with epic performances from all-time great players. Which ones do you regard to be the greatest from an Alabama player? A few of the more recent performances that stick out to me are as follows:

Tua Tagovailoa (2018)
25-32, 324 yards, 5 TDs

Derrick Henry (2015)
46 carries, 271 yards, 1 TD

Amari Cooper (2014)
13 receptions, 224 yards, 2 TDs

Greg McElroy (2009)
21-31, 218 yards, 2 TDs

Most clutch that I can remember (earliest IBs I remember were the 6 straight losses) was the final drive of 2009. We had been terrible on offense all day long and it came together perfectly. Offense drove 80 yards and took 8 minutes off the clock

In real time, that game felt like a complete shitshow

Sims actually threw 3 INTs in that game which I don't really remember. I do remember how bad the DBs were for both teams- felt like every drive had a 25+ yard pass

Had that image of him holding the state flag in the stands as my phone background for a long time.

Roy Upchurch, 2009. As much as I love Ingram, he was kind of in his feelings at the end and was out of the game when Upchurch saved the day.

Jake Coker was a warrior the last 4 games of the 15 season. He peaked at the perfect time. If only he had a year of eligibility left for the 2016 season, that 2016 team would have went down as the best ever at that time.

Shula needed to be clutch on that last drive because threw a 4th quarter pick in the end zone that Auburn turned into a TD drive to take the lead. That was a 14 point swing that almost lost the game.

That was in the first half I believe - his 2nd half comeback was incredibly clutch.

Pretty sure his last INT was the first drive of the second half. First pass he threw, IIRC. He was clutch the rest of the gane.

This wasn't even the most clutch performance in that game.

Coker evading Carl Lawson and hitting Stewart for the TD, plus Griffith's 5 FGs...including a 50 yarder, and a 47 yarder that put us up 9 in the 4th quarter...were more clutch. The game was basically already over when Henry scored. 95 of his yards were on the last two drives of the game after we were already up 9 points.

I'd say Griffith's performance was more "clutch" without question. Big numbers don't necessarily mean more clutch...not at all.

Ancient history, but a guy named Linny Patrick had been in Bryant's dog house much of his career, and sat behind inferior players. But in the 4th quarter of the 315 game, Bryant called his number out of desperation and Patrick single handedly saved the game.

This. People forget just how good Coker was the second half of that season.

Dennis Riddle in 1996. Ran for 131 yards and caught three passes, including the game winner, on the final drive.
