Proper expectation levels definitely fall somewhere between Texas and atm.

Lost the entire OL, and lost the starting QB in the second game. Kind of surprising that A&M has done this well. After MSU didn’t expect to win another game this year. Thought team would go into a tail spin. Instead, the team looks well positioned for next year and the future …

Agree here, but let's also be honest: no coach is fixing Texas so long as its administration and boosters act the way they do.
Texas has to be the only school where multiple coaches were probably ecstatic to be fired, and the current one is probably now hoping for it, too.

If they win their last two games to go 10-3, Jimbo will have his best real season at A&M, and it shows progress. If they lose one to end up 9-4, the covid year really looks like the outlier, and they appear to be just treading water.
