JeaLSU even applies to the NFL. That’s so sad.

Why the frick are we talking about another guy’s team accomplishment in a thread about a guy’s individual accomplishments?

Congrats on the 18 carries for 40 yards (2.2 ypc) and 0 TDs in the Wild Card loss.

Certainly didn't improve on his previous 57 carries for 338 yards (5.9 ypc) and 2 TDs in his previous 2 wild card wins.

In my eyes, he already is the GOAT.

If I was making a team of all time players, he would be my #1 RB.

#2 would be Bo Jackson, and #3 would be Hershel Walker.

And for all you Barry Sanders fan, he can make the team as well - we're gonna need a fast waterboy who can juke and get around the cheerleaders quickly.

I think the big thing is that he's having a Sanders-esque season in an NFL that has prioritized the pass over the run.

I was wondering the same thing. This isn't about Henry vs SEC.

He;ll retire as one of the greats, one of them.

Good lord. Just stop, man. You’re getting into BlueAnon territory with this crap.

I think Henry is a good person and a great running back, but him doing what he is doing in this era of the NFL actually makes it less impressive, because he’s doing it against defenses that are built to prioritize stopping the pass. I’m not saying he wouldn’t be equally great in a different era, just saying the pass-priority of this era isn’t a point in his favor.

There’s Sony Michel, he has as many rings as Leonard Fournette

Brady is the GOAT because he carries average RBs to rings. Put Henry on Brady’s team and they’d be a bigger juggernaut than they already are

This implies any decent back would have a good season, but the truth of the matter is that rules are in place to HELP the pass; those same rules aren't in place to help the run.

Haven’t we seen that any decent back CAN have a good season in this NFL? Isn’t that why RBs have lost value.
I think Henry would be great in any era because he combines elite physical gifts with a good attitude, but I don’t know that he isn’t being helped out a lot by playing in this era. All he can do is play in the era he’s in, and he’s doing a fine job of that.

I think the point being made was that defenses are now built to stop the pass since it's a passing game now, which provides opportunities for back to put up great numbers as well if a team chooses to commit to the run, but so few do now that you're seeing fewer backs have big seasons anymore.

I think Henry, with his size, speed, and power, would have been great in any era, but his point was valid regarding running backs benefitting as well. Just look at the yards per carry stats over time, league wide. Those are up now as well. You're just not seeing the high total yardage numbers because teams pass the ball so much more now.

What does "more educated" even mean really? Are you saying you have more degrees or something?

Personally I didn't go to college. I joined the military at 18. I am a self taught programmer. I've been a full stack developer for more than 20 years. I've written production programs that have generated millions of dollars in revenue and met with and helped develop/test software with companies like google. I lived in "Silicon Valley" for a decade before deciding to move back east in "semi-retirement".

I also enjoy creating AI that competes against other AI as a hobby. I can use any programming language you want easily.

But I guess you'd say I'm extremely "uneducated"?

Well that's dumb. Probably just about every person who posts on this forum has the kind of education that doesn't come with a piece of paper and isn't taught to people in schools.

It's called experience, and I guess they didn't teach you that experience > education.

Defenses aren't getting smaller, they are getting bigger and faster.
