I've been around a long time and i've seen the greats.
Henry has my vote.
What say you?

Herschel, Bo, Emmitt and Henry are all in the discussion imo. I'm an Auburn fan so naturally I'm going to say Bo

What is your criteria? SEC career, post-SEC career, or combination of both?

If you have been around a long time
Then keep digging in your archives … Hershel or Bo are the greatest ever ! Arguments can be made for both , but equally the greatest backs ever to grace a SEC field

I started watching a bunch of SEC football in I think 2003. Darren McFadden and Derrick Henry are my top-2. Bo and Walker’s highlights are insane though

Herschel Walker IMO

Herschel. That 1980 Georgia team wins 8 games without him. He literally carried them to a title.

Bo is the best that I have seen.

Sec career.
5259 rushing yards over his collegiate career.
1753 rushing yards per season.
159.4 rushing yards per game.
52 total TDs
Top 3 in Heisman voting every year he played, to include winning it in 1982.

I feel like DMac always gets overlooked in these convos

Bo was very good but but I would take Walker 100 times out of 100. I remember Bo squatting against Tennessee.

Bo followed closely by Herschel but good arguments can be made for flipping them with Hersch #1 and Bo #2
Period
End of Discussion
Herschel will unseat Tommy Tuberville as best SEC senator, if elected.

This. Henry has undoubtedly be unreal in the NFL and was great at 'Bama, but based solely off their SEC careers Henry isn't close. He's not in the top 20 of rushing yards, the top 30 in YPC, or the top 10 in rushing TDs.
