Its the worst in college football. Its been this way for a generation. I don't think its bias to any team generally, its just incompetence on the field and in the booth. There are two horseshite calls and reviews in every SEC game without fail. I watch a bunch of Pac12 games too and it just doesn't happen. I don't get why the SEC tolerates such inadequate performance, week after week and season after season.

The officiating in the Oregon loss to Stanford would have caused a literal riot in an SEC stadium.

Like turning on a spotlight at night and watching it attract all the moths.
Here come all the LSU fans.
And Prof, the angered UT fan.

They do a great job. UT fans are mad about being a half yard short (clear in the replay) but saying nothing of why they had a 4th and 24. If you are complaining about the refs, chances are your arse was kicked.

The refs screw over 13 SEC teams and always give Auburn every call.

I agree on that call but that is a sample size of one. If you're arguing other conference referees are just as bad as the SEC, then I vehemently disagree with you.

They need to form a national officiating group. Conferences shouldn’t run them. There should be one unbiased(as much as possible). Assign the crews each week.

Seems like it's much worse this season. Worst part is replay. We're supposed to have replay so they can get the call right. If they're not going to fix on-the-field calls that are obviously wrong, let's just go back to no replay so we can all get home faster.

The officials are paid, but not very much. With all of the talk of paying the players, maybe they need to be paid enough to make it a full-time job with better training.

No I'm just saying nobody pays attention as closely elsewhere, except when it affects a contender like Oregon.

I can assure it sucks balls across the board.

Quote from the entire conference: "If you need one yard against Alabama, you'd better get three".

It’s because all the college officials are part time workers. They all are either retired or have full-time, demanding jobs outside their college football officiating duties. With them not dedicating all their time to the profession, mistakes will be made more frequently. They’re not even paid that well. It’s basically a fun hobby for them, not a job

It would probably help if we stopped allowing Bama grads to control replays and kept them from being head officials…

This year has been the worst I’ve seen since the addition of instant replay. Some of the stuff has to do with the complexity of what’s reviewable and what’s not. Also the grey area of “conclusive evidence.”

Targeting has been just bullshite comical this year as there have been several bang bang plays where there was no intent from the defensive player but because the offensive player puts his head down or turns, they collide thus causing the flag to come out. I’m all for getting shitty thug bullshite out of the game but as it stands right now there are more athletes making great plays and getting penalized for incidental bullshite.

Even games I don’t have a hunt in there has been some just bullshite calls that has completely changed the game.

Agree 100%.

Missing a call is understandable.

The poor replay performance is baffling.

Replay tries its best to side with the call on the field. The call on the field doesn’t need to be conveyed to replay officials.

Are you this simple? Lol there isn’t a fanbase on here that wouldn’t have been redneck mad over that fumble recovery touchdown called back in the first

The SEC has had horrendous officiating for as long as I can remember and it seems like it’s gotten worse as technology has gotten better which should impossible yet here we are

The Auburn fumble in the rezone early yesterday likely cost us 7 points. The late game phantom PI on an uncatchable ball kept Auburn alive and gave them 7 points.

Thats a 14 point swing. frick the refs
