What are SEC officials paid? I understood it was up to $3,000.00 per game

Miss state fans should have rioted after the Memphis thing. And the SEC did nothing. A bad call or no call or spot happen. But all game long, game changing shite has to be addressed

It’s bad. Real bad. I’m sure we all have had games lost by bad calls. As a bottom feeder, we go through the added realization that they don’t want little ole us to hurt a potential bowl bound team. Whatever.

Suggestions- more public accountability. More cameras to actually see what happened. Have the camera angles that the reviewers are looking at be the same that we see on TV : this is the worst, imho, TV and the announcers aren’t able to defuse the situation when the refs have made the right call. We just go off getting madder by the minute cause we don’t see what the reviewer did. Let schools ban more refs who have an obvious bias. Stop with the Bama home office making the reviews, just get a bunch of non SEC rules experts to make the final call. But with all this they have to speed it up.

With the money the SEC is making from TV there is no reason the conference can't have better trained, better graded and more competent officiating.

Start paying more money and you will have more candidates for the job with better accountability.

Its the worst in college football. Its been this way for a generation. I don't think its bias to any team generally, its just incompetence on the field and in the booth. There are two horseshite calls and reviews in every SEC game without fail. I watch a bunch of Pac12 games too and it just doesn't happen. I don't get why the SEC tolerates such inadequate performance, week after week and season after season.

Ok, I'll bite. On replay; if the sport is going to use replay, then the sport should have at least a minimum standard for camera angles for any and all replay reviews.

All of you guys complaining need to join your local high school officiating association, we can always use officials.

The most sane comment made in this gaggle of wet hens ...

They would tinkle all over themselves on the first scrimmage sweep run in their direction. The trouble is, not one of them could pass the written test.

Auburn Alum here too ....But with seven years playing experience and 25 Officiating experience. Up to and including Semi Pro. In other words ...I know more about my ancestry than I could ever learn by a DNA or Genealogy report. It's also a pathway to learn new four letter words you have never heard before.

So, Fans for the convenience of the audience, describe in detail your football rules knowledge ... Let's use the differences between National Federation, Pop Warner, Modified NCAA, NCAA and NFL rules ...On second thought, never mind ...we could use volumes of banter and accomplish nothing.

There was no "fumble" Forward progress was stopped, Hunter was lifted off the ground, then turned away from the LTG. At game speed the crew is taught to bite their whistles ...that is why there are few inadvertent whistles. They know that if there is a question ....the football god in the booth has the final say. Bean Bags on the ground ...Means nothing other than to mark the possible spot of where the possible loose ball occurs. The bag represents where the ball became loose and the possible spot consideration in foul enforcement. It is not an admission of guilt.

What still concerns me ...is the uncatchable ball theory in the NCAA. I say that because what is taught in field studies is not what is written in blood. The lame excuse by the so called "Expert" in the network was not worth the miserable explanation. This is not a play at first base, where the umpire sees the flight of the thrown ball, the feet of the first baseman and the sound of the runner's foot hitting the bag. All three come together.

The Field Official knows the pass has been thrown. At that point he actually focuses in one what we refer to as tunnel vision. His only concern is the two players pushing and shoving for position ....The flight of the ball has no bearing ....and what about that ball? You want to watch two dancers in the dark while looking twenty feet above him and looking at the ball too? Impossible. He has one cover Official .... maybe ....we don't know what the Back Judge was busy doing. He either had his own set of DB and Receiver or was picking his nose or saw a really good looking co-ed in the stands ... If the Back Judge was doing his job ....The Side or Field Judge making the call and the Back Judge would have joined to talk about the ball before relaying the call to the White Hat.

The NCAA needs to cure that problem. Either it's a mythical consideration of the possible athletic capabilities of that specific receiver or flat out uncatchable. That pass was uncatchable period.

Football in general has lagged behind the other major sports with having professional officials. The NFL guys are part time also, with all the money made in the NFL and CFB there is no excuse not to have full time payed officials.

They must come from Ga. High School officials: balls bouncing from hitting the ground are "caught" & balls down 1/2+ yards away = 1st down (even in front of officials).

For your common sense SEC fan, Sankey's legacy will be the atrocious officiating. He has had years and endless cash to fix it. For the media it will the addition of OU & TX.

It was atrocious in last year's Aub/ Arky game. And was again yesterday in the favor of Aub.

The replay system is total garbage. How can I see it clear as day on my 65-in screen. Yet, they have HQ of screens and can't make the correct call. Buy a freakin IMAX theatre if you have to.

The biggest indictment is the former NFL and college referee commentators are always disagreeing with the SEC officials and replay during the games.

Damn right I'm angered. A rigged contest isn't worth playing. It's anathema to sport and competition.

I can't build a car in my garage. But I know a Yugo ain't a BMW.

SEC Officiating sucks. Even though I couldn't do it any better.

Can't pass the test, can't pass the physical .....

And yes, I can pull an engine and rebuild it as well. Anything else?

On a sweep to your side you first retreat away from the LOS.

That prevents you from being run over, so you can make a call .... Proved my point ..Thank You.

When the job requirements as specified put you in a trick bag - such that nobody can actually do the job - maybe the job requirements are just out to lunch.

You literally just said "Yeah, we miss the calls, but your fat arse can't do any better".

And I'm saying "you're fat asses are missing all the calls".

Yeah you make these absurd, long-winded points on the Auburn board too. The fumble in the AU vs. UArk game is one of 20 data points that happens every weekend with this mouth-breathing set of SEC officials. Let me state it again... the SEC, and maybe you (?), are the worst officials in college football. They suck.

SEC refs are either

Betting the games

Working for books getting them what they need to cover

Most of the really weird stuff happens right before halftime (affecting first half & halftime lines and totals) and close to the end of games (affecting game lines and totals)

It’s one thing to keep blowing calls but to keep blowing them after watching replays in the booth over & over is nothing short of corruption. Follow the money. Always.
