I'd suggest posting less. What does last years performance matter when discussing 2021 FPI rankings?

Yikes, our FPI projection for this week is 18.9%

But after that we’re favored in every game this year sooooo

It obviously puts too much stock in teams blowing out lesser competition.

Any ranking that has Clemson, Texas, Iowa State, and UNC ranked that high is worthless.

Michigan 2nd Half Offense against Rutgers
3 plays 0 Yards (Punt)
3 plays -1 Yard (Punt)
3 plays 7 Yards (Punt)
3 plays 5 Yards (Punt)
8 plays 33 Yards (Missed FG)

20 plays 44 Yards 0 Points

Rutgers 2nd Half Offense vs Michigan
3 plays -5 Yards (Punt)
12 plays 91 Yards (TD)
12 plays 58 Yards (FG)
8 plays 59 Yards (Missed FG)
6 plays 28 Yards (Downs)
2 plays 0 Yards (funble)

43 plays 231 Yards 10 Points

But Michigan was good in the 1st half..
so they won by 7 points..

The 3rd best team in the country can only beat Tulane, Nebraska, and West Virginia each by a Touchdown or less... but sure, they are the 3rd best in the country. Makes total sense. Maybe it was the lopsided win over FCS Western Carolina that proves their ranking.

These things mean very little until about week 6, unless you are willing to make adjustments for obvious errors.

They are still likely relying on last years data, and whatever preseason bias ESPN decided to put on teams. So you get Clemson at #5, when they are clearly not a top5 team. As old data falls off, so will they.

But overall, the fact human bias is added into FPI makes me generally ignore it.

We may need to reassess the weights of the preseason metrics 4 weeks into the season.

Just going with the common response from the pig fans about OM this year, was a bit sarcastic and a bit smartass.... Just joined up, can't start off with 1000 post can we?
