My dislikes: he tweets too much and adds too much irrelevant football technique into discussions almost as if to show off his knowledge.

He’s trying to build his brand with the Twitter stuff. He also doesn’t act like a jerk to the Auburn fans that supported him from his basement either.

That tweet video in this thread is enough for me.

Who cares. That was his buddy. Plus he deleted it.

I think it's more of how he broadcasted his dislike. It's one thing to dislike the move, because he is friends with Corn(and at least he admitted it for clarity), but... ...You don't broadcast a live broadcast from a hallway in some building he was walking in. And you don't just react bc he then threw in the OL coach, or any other coach he put out there. And lastly, he only knows 1 side...his friend's side, and that is not going to be fair and balanced reporting. If he wants to me in the sports media world...he's got to cover all the aspects of something like a firing. That's just my take on it. I like a lot of his shows...but he can get to emotionally involved at times..which now is going to be biased against Harsin, no matter if the move was the right move.

That’s fair. It was emotionally charged and unprofessional. Beyond that video though I think he puts out great content.

Closing the loop on this, I have seen a couple of pics from the GA St game where we only had 10 men on the field. The WR group was the culprit.

I don't even know who this is and really don't care, but if he is going to be so public with his opinions and thoughts then he and you should know criticism will come with that, and not everyone will like him.

This is just simply unacceptable.

Having 10 men on the field is how you struggle to win games against Ga State...

What message are you sending to up and coming young coaches who want to come here? You got four weeks or you are gone?

The message I think is...........you are making damn good money. Do your job. Make sure your players know their assignments. If you can't do that, you won't be a part of this program. Basically, he is holding people accountable. I have no problem with that.

It apparently happened in a couple of other games as well. I'm not well-versed enough to know how that actually happens in major CFB, but that's pathetic. I only played HS ball but I remember substitution patterns being essientally by "packages", then playcalls. So for example a coach would shout out "goal line!" and that personel group would go into the game. Its hard to understand how that could be screwed up so often.

They would piss their pants for that call to be asked to join the staff.

They know it's a business and if they are up and coming they want the chance to show they can do it better.

I think he should have demoted the guy

Nope, what Harsin did was the correct thing. It wasn't just about production at WR.

I don't know about the call either way tbh.

But I think if we hire the head coach, it is his call to make and live with the consequences good or bad.

And I am with you, good coaches will not be scared off because someone else got the boot.

And at least, from my personal experience, demoting someone can lead to that individual sabotaging morale and other needless drama.

You don’t make the decisions, slick. We’ll see how it works out.

It was the correct decision from multiple aspects. The WR group has been abysmal. Good riddance and good luck to the “new” guy.

That's coaching. Now you know why Corn got fired.

Think about it. You are getting paid $300k a year. Your job is to get young athletes better at something they already know how to do, get them on the field when they are supposed to be on the field, and get more guys like them, to come play for you.

If you failed at 2 outta your 3 main responsibilities, what do you expect is going to happen?

Late in the game when the WR ran the curl route 4 yards short of the sticks on 3rd down was probably the nail in the coffin.
